More Home Guard Volunteers Join 1st Corp’s WW2 Range

1st Corps introduced some new Home Guard packs to their collection so that you can bolster the troops defending Blighty against invasion! A great new set of World War II characters, troops and special weapons are available for you to snap up.

Home Guard Platoon Command // 1st Corps

Leading the way, the Home Guard Platoon Command is armed with a diverse range of weapons. You have a rather dapper-looking gentleman with a glorious moustache who is obviously in charge. He's supported by some older and younger gentlemen who form his trusted circle of companions.

Backing them up is another set of Home Guard, this time as NCOs. They are all posed, guiding the way, leading other troops into the fighting.

I like the fellow with his arm up in the air, waving forward other troops from behind him. I reckon he might have just charged out of the nearby church hall at the sound of an alarm from outside. The fellow on the far right also has an amazingly accusatory face.

You can also pick up a selection of special weapons from 1st Corps, giving your Home Guard a bit of additional firepower to bring to bear against any invaders.

You can get your hands on three different teams. One of them is armed with a Boyes Anti-Tank Gun, the second has a Bren Gun and finally, you have a team with a Mortar at the ready. A nice selection of weapons for scaring invading Germans as they run up the beaches or through your local village.

If you're looking to mix and match your miniatures, you can also get two different sets representing Bren Gun users Advancing and Standing at the ready.

This set comes with a solid bunch of miniatures for running the Home Guard on the tabletop. You start with a four-figure Platoon HQ set, also featuring the Mortar Team and the Boyes AT Rifle Team. You also get three Infantry Sections of ten figures each, comprised of an NCO, Bren LMG Team, and six Riflemen.

You should have a good array of options within the set and enough variants to be fun to paint. The Home Guard are going to be holding off all sorts of fellows hitting the beaches!
