New Chaos Mutilators Rampage Into Warhammer 40,000

Games Workshop continues to preview what's coming down the pipeline for the forces of the Chaos Space Marines in Warhammer 40,000. Some living weapons are on the way in the form of new, plastic Chaos Mutilators.

Chaos Mutilators are born out of Chaos Space Marines who are obsessed with slaughter and butchery before being taken by one of the technoviruses that bubble away in the Warp. Over time, flesh and armour knit together to become one and that's where the hideous, hulking weapon platforms known as the Chaos Mutilators come into being.

Mutilators are the melee counterpart to the Obliterators that folks are probably already aware of. Ranks and ranks of them make up the Iron Warriors, who are going to be taking centre stage very soon in the run-up to the new edition of Warhammer 40,000.

They come armed with all sorts of twisted and brutal weaponry, fused into their flesh, turning them into living weapons. Send these warriors into the heart of a meat grinder melee and watch them chew their way through lightly armoured and heavily armoured infantry.

I think the miniatures look decent. Not great but not terrible. They feel a little toy-like currently but I think that, as always, might be because of the studio paint schemes. When covered in blood, grime and such, I think these would look immense.

This set of three Chaos Mutilators are going to be coming out in the next few months alongside Kravek Morne and the Eye of Terror book that sits on the horizon. Whilst the Iron Warriors are going to be quite a focal point for the new book, Games Workshop has mentioned that you'll be able to get even more Chaos to sate your curiosity.
