No.
Never.
Can’t make me.
Mustn’t make me.
Nothing will get painted if I allow that!!!
The only time I’ll play bare plastic is when the components are colour coded aka the first edition dungeon saga.
To quote Eddie Hitler’s apt exaggeration “I’d rather cut off my penis with a rusty bread knife”
Oh the things you will learn through the horror of the XLBS! 😆
The only acceptable greys are Death Corp of Krieg, Confederates and World War Germans. I played with an unpainted miniature once in 2001 during a game of Warhammer Quest. My gaming group still sends me pictures of in several times a year, lest I forget.
Happy Sunday
It’s Sunday. I’m off to the mother in law. Will watch later. Pinky promise!
Grey is ok for boardgames and in RPG where it’s just a bunch of generic monsters, but i prefer heroes, villains and wargaming minis painted so it’s easier to identify the important ones on the field of battle.
Some fantastic painting there @brennon Those minis look great. If we the community could award a GB back to the team you’d be getting one for them for sure.
Great selection of GB’s. Well done to all. I’ve been following the play with grey project. It is an interesting insight into the hobby from a different perspective and I’m all for someone prioritising the part that brings joy for them. So play with grey – why not if that helps create a happy environment for you.
OMG I never thought I would see the day…. playing with the grey, you should be ashamed! shame! shame! shame! and on the lords day unbelievable!
Thanks for the golden butt butt ding!!!
The photography base is meant to go on a turntable for 360 as well as usable for static photos. I will be doing a more static one on an A3 board as well for larger units. And yes, I have a backdrop by Jon Hodgens for it as well. The base is almost done and soon you will see it in action. This idea is something I will do for all of my larger army project. This one is for my Mediterranean forces; Romans, Greeks, etc. I also have some in the works for Nordic models and armies.
Heresy it is then, let loose the tides of grey! 🙂 Happy Sunday all o7
Happy Easter Sunday! So nice to have the lads back and talking hobby.
I’ve been watching the channel for quite a few years now so have enjoyed watching @brennon‘s progress and growth as a painter. Really nice brush work you have there even without the decals. I refer to repurposing old kits or projects as “shopping in the garage”.
I love the Fields of Grey project for so many reasons not the least of which is the reminder to all of us that we buy these toys to play games so a lack of paint shouldn’t stop one from playing about and learning what and how the toy soldiers do.
Less than a minute in, “I have a skin hat”.
