I’m slowly getting tempted to delve into Space Fleet style wargaming…slowly mind…
Summer, so winter down here, but it’ll probably be Summer by the time we get it ^_^’
That is really nice, but I suspect that as a non Halo player who has no understanding of the back story and what the forces are, the Hawk dropship commander spaceship game will be where my money goes.
Looks like an easy game to get going with. Familiar mechanics will make it enjoyable and I should mention that the detail is living up to Spartan Standards.
OMG i am really looking forward to this game….iv been a Halo player since it came out and have had friends who are video gamer’s but not TT gamer’s but yet love Halo, i think once i get this i might just be able to turn a few arms and bring some people to wonderful world of TT gaming
looking more & more like a game I’ll be investing in
The ships look absolutely AMAZING. I’d love to know more about this game and have a closer look at those models. Best spaceships from Spartan Games if you ask me 😀
Looks cool, must say.
give me know i must have here just take my wallet
This or star wars…choices choices
Cut out the maths and make a fast punchy game.
Excellent tactics from Spartan IMO, to get those video gamers away from their screens for a minute.
I think Spartan has a winner on their hands, they’re going to sell soo much Halo stuff.
And with this game they should be able to lure video gamers into our fantastic hobby.
And this just one of their Halo games coming this year!
That sounds interesting, and the minis look fabulous. I never played HALO so I would be coming at this as a novice.
Thanks for the video, Dawn. Great to “see” this in more than just still images.
Super looking game and no maths 🙂
So utterly impressed with the minis. Even if the rules end up unappealing, I’ll be buying purely for collection purposes.
That said, I fully anticipate playing this way more than is healthy.
Halo as a wargame. That is awesome. Can’t wait to see the ground version of the game.
Cripes! Can’t wait to see what will be in the box if the video shows the set ‘with some additions’. Seemed like a lot of stuff there to my eyes.
Pre-Order now done. 🙂
Thank god spartan are taking pre-orders( just ordered mine) for this online for this now as i would have been gutted to miss out on this.
Sooo cannot wait to try out this game!
I really want this to succeed.
I think the hobby needs new blood all the time, and like was previously mentioned, this is a good way to get younger folks from the video-game generation interested in miniatures and tabletop games.
I love the ships, but is it bad that I really want the busts more? 😉
Those look killer, I think this will be pretty popular to be honest. Halo has a big universe thats getting expanded upon by games and books. Not to mention the huge following the universe already has, should be interesting.
I have several small Dystopian Wars armies. I don’t play them much anymore, but I must say that Spartan’s minis are absolutely fantastic!
This did look great – even as a ‘non sci-fi’ fan, you’d be hard pressed to find faults with it 🙂
Holy crap this looks brilliant…. i cant wait for it
That looks like an interesting game and Like the mechanics, nice and simple
It looks like space games are on the rise again. I’m not complaining. 🙂
Sexy, sexy ships
This is Spartan!!!!!! Sorry, couldn’t resist. I wonder when we will get space wargames that take 3 dimensional space into account. What would the table look like? Level after level of plexiglass that you move ships up and down as well as left right forward and back? How would you deal with facing in 3 dimensions? Would the ships be in a plexiglass cube with only 6 possible orientations, or a sphere?
Now this looks good
As a non-Halo-fan they really have to do something amazing to beat out Hawks spaceship game, at least for me.
I get the feeling this is more aimed towards non-wargamers
I’ve got to get my hand on some of those covenant assault carriers. My favourite ships in the game and I’m glad I can finally get my hands on them!
P.S. Spartan when are we getting 28mm Halo miniatures?
it does look great
Sadly missed this on the day
@deltagamegirl22 Thank you for the video and all the other great videos today.
I love the no template turning system they came up with. Grand wickedness. I look forward to the summer release.
You’re so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
I am looking forward to this game alot.
my poor poor wallet…
That actually looks pretty cool.
nice
This looked amazing, absolutely stunning models
Sounds like you get a lot of cool ships just in the starter, should be worth a punt.
This could be an interesting game
Pre-Orders just hit The Combat Company in Australia and placed mine after seeing this.
Did you see the really big capital ships on the other table? I nerdgasmed and ran off to pre order it.
I don’t have a scooby-do about ‘Halo’, but those ships are very, very nice. D.x
Beautiful models…but…but…is it really not Firestorm? The movement is diffrenet, diffrent dices..pity so little info on it 🙁
I like the paintjob on that big covenant ship.
Spartan make lovely big models but these halo ships are massive
These were an absolute pleasure to paint, truly amazing models and the game engine is so very cool. keep and eye on our Facebook page and website for more HALO images

@deltagamegirl22 did you get a chance to try a demo? This wasn’t something I was interested in but those painted convenant ships are really stunning. It does present the dilemma of this, Armada or Hawk’s upcoming game, do you feel these are similar games or do you think they offer something different?
Sadly, I did not get a demo, but I do think they are totally different games aside maybe from being space themed. I can tell you that we have Armada and I love it! But Halo has some really beautiful ships and really nice simplicity in the mechanics too. That probably wasn’t a decisive answer. Lol
More just gauging your thoughts, thanks for the response – going to be a tough choice I feel
Bring us more! xD
saw this being played and it was instantly….”shut up and take my money”
I like the idea of quick and easy navigation.
Just invested in SW Armada, so this has to flex his muscles quite a bit to get me onboard. But I’m a little intrigued…
Although I didn’t have the funds to pre-order it at the time, I will be picking up the starter set for sure. Because Halo.
I have zero knowledge of, and fairly little interest in Halo, but this game looks really very pretty.
Hope BoW can get them onto the show some time to tell us more about it!
