I was thoroughly impressed with rules shown last year, and i didn’t expect the ships to be so big. That would be an excellent participation game; wish i was there.

nogginthenog

Wow. I didn’t even know this was a thing.

I’d have preferred the original series style models (just my age, that is ‘my’ Galactica), but that is rather stunning.

I guess fleet battles are a thing again now. Shame GW ditched theirs I guess.

inquisitorfelix

The Cylons are the original series style.

lukeyboy

Starwars, halo or battle star. The choices get even harder

tasker

That looks awesome but those ships are going to take up far to much shelf space.

goes211

I’ve not seen this before and it looks fraktastic! Ship scales and quantities of vipers and raiders on the board really make it attractive – demo games posted up yet? Must look!

riftsinger

damit they beat me to it ive got a basestar ready to paint

mistermannindy

Does this blend the “old” BSG with the “new”? Those raiders are from the original TV show. I *think* the other models are from the more recent SCI-FI show. Could be wrong.

ted777ccg

I think all the models are from the original show. The Battlestars looked very alike between the old and the new. I would kill to see some new show models though!

jaegermeister

This participation game is set during the first Cylon War as referenced in the new series, so the Basestars are the same as in the old show while the Battlestars are new. The booklet we did for the game can be downloaded here for free:

generalmayham

Me wants, me wants.

Love it if you cover this in more detail. A weekender maybe or even its own show. Pretty please.

lorgaroz

Love it!

thesniperone

Is it the same game type as armada?

lasse

More good looking spaceships.

warhammergrimace

I know someone who’s going to be buying this… I’d personally prefer a 28mm skirmish game

redben

The BSG element is homebrew and an example of what can be done with Full Thrust. Mechworld have put the rules and stats up on their website but you’ll have to provide your own ships.

grantsensei

The best bit was cutting the corners off the reference sheets!

rayzryr

Those ships are huuuge… I’ve not watched the show at all, but I’d guess that they are scale?

macadams00

“By your command”

kamaron

Not a big fan of Battlestar Galactica, but that table is rather impressive! Nice “miniatures” xD

saltireknight

more real cool space shooty stuff

cell68

Looking really good.

dorthonion

More details please! Great images – what rules?

redben

Full Thrust

nehpets

Theres a good amount of detail on these. So many Sci-Fi space games, which one?!

davidquinn77

Oh my……..

panzerkaput

Indeed oh my

dekinrie

i recognize the revell battlestars but the cylon basestars does anybody know where thier from

jaegermeister

The cylons are the old Revell kits, no longer in production. You can find them on ebay sometimes.

chugosh

I’ve been watching on the http://www.mechworld.de/ facebook page and such. I ran across Full Thrust as I was perusing the long catalog of Games it Would Be Cool to Have a couple of months ago. This whole thing stands up as a wonderful example of what can be accomplished with free rules and a lot of creative initiative. Wonderful layout, if well beyond my capacity to do on my own. Stunning!

buggeroff

That looks so cool. So needs to go to l kickstarter

mulletsteve

the mix of original cylons and modern battlestars/colonials seems a bit odd but it looks amazing

jamjarst

That was the real OH WOW! table for me at Salute … I would love to see that as a retail game.

ace0fjacks

So playing this. Have Battlestars and a Basestar will have to get some of those Vipers. Raptors and Raiders though. Thought Fantasy Flight would do cross-over since have licences for x-wing and Galactica. Never-mind good on you Mechworld.

kantor72

This was my favourite table at Salute ( even beat the BoW boys and their Hoth table ). The kits used for this really set everything off. I would love to see this go to Kick Starter as a BSG fleet game…. stunning. 😀

vashna

I wish it had the remake series design, I was never a huge fan of the originals

sercoffee

This just seems like a great period to pick up a spaceship battle game…

The choices!

rccmavis

I missed this one

zorg

New battlestar’s fighting old Cylon’s?

moscher

The szenarion is set in the first cylon war. Thats why it works.;)

moscher

Hey!
I am one of the guys from Mechwolrd and I want to shout out a big THANK YOU to all of you!

We had such a good time and got so much positive feedback – it was awesome! And now being back in Germany and reading this is the perfect end of this trip to Salute. (It was my first one – loved it!)

Just want to clarify one last thing: As Redben already said this thing is homebrew – it will never be for sale.

Cheers!

neoscream

Never got a game in but would like to try it out

siygess

I couldn’t get over the quality of the printed materials for that game – it totally looked like a commercial product (if only!). It was also cool to see that a Full Thrust boxed set was in the works 🙂
