I bought the book and some Victorian zombies, very nice
Picked this up at Salute, suffers similar problem to Carnevale though. Love the setting but I did think what scenery do I have that would fit an urban board? The Terraclips Streets and Sewers sets could work for both with a couple laser cut buildings but for now the gentlemen and fiends must battle in the Transylvanian country side of fantasy buildings and woods.
Hopefully there will be a supplement with a Bobbies faction and some kind of Egyptian cult (mummies & fez’s, maybe as another gentlemans club type like in Young Sherlock Holmes).
I know it is not quite the smoky fog filled cobbled streets that automatically spring to mind, but urban settings have parks, cemeteries and wasteland sites too.
If you have some trees and greenery that might be a start while you develop the street furnishings.
i would say most of Dave Graffam’s paper terrain would work well enough for this game.

Maybe if you take some minis, even if you have to proxy at first, and the quick start rules someone might join in the fun.
It is early days for the game yet.

I like the ability to create your own group within a faction.
The enthusiasm was infectious. Going to have to have a look into the book. Steampunk Skirmish sounds good to me.
The top hat is Justin’s, he just happened to have it in that day. But if you want to send us more top hats or even bowler hats any additions to the Beasts of War costume department would be welcome. As long as I don’t have to be the one who tidies it away.

We have been playing it for a little while – Just started a campaign.
The game is OK, but we wish they had written the rules tighter. Too many instances of rules being interpreted differently by players and other parts feeling like they haven’t actually finished writing the rules… Like something is just missing.
Setting is great (how can you loose wiyh VCF?), but rules feel like they are 75% of what should be.
Does this game have any campaign options? Can you develop your “gangs” like Mordheim/Necromunda et al?
Yes. It was mentioned neat the end of the video.
There is a campaign with scenarios.

Beats Dust Warfare Darrell ?
Looks moderately interesting, though I’m still bitter with WW that instead of trying to keep on supporting SOTR in every way, a new game is being pushed. One thing I can’t quite understand, though: why would someone play this over Malifaux? Variety? It doesn’t seem to me to even be a different flavour of ice cream, more like Rum Raisin using different Raisins.

I’ve run the demo rules twice to very positive results at my local shop. I ordered the big (ie: expensive) deal from Westwind and also added the Victorian Zombies and their demo bundle (with the bobbies, Holmes etc). It ended up being very pricey, but the models and book are really great. It’ll take me a bit of time to get enough things based and primed to probably interest anyone in a game, but I think the campaign rules will be of interest to some of my regulars.
