It seems unlikely that it would stop where it is now. I’d be a bit frustrated if it did too, because that leaves out some of my favourite models…

Yeah. If up to Jason was all that’s unlocked I think I’d be more than getting my money’s worth for my $99. Hopefully it doesn’t stop there, mind, and we get buried in avalanche of stuff come next December.

So a lot of speculation as with any Kickstarter i guess. I saw this and just loved the concept of the game… I was expecting it to be a high investment level, given i habe in the past spent over a £1000 on a kickstarter. I was quite amazed that it was only a $99 […]

@onlyonepinman – The massive amount more prep MB has had compared to Conan, the lack of licensee to approve, working with known people at the same factories, and the planning for success all mean that the delivery date is much more reliable this time. Given the vagaries of reality it may yet slip, that’s certainly possible, […]

@quirkworthy said: Oh, and for clarity. When Ben says they are “pre-production” that’s true insofar as they’re not a production run. They are, however, test shots from the production moulds, so the differences between them and the final pieces will be minimal (and hopefully all our improvements).
Indeed. I simply mean that the actual core box…[Read more]

Yeah, as well as the selfish view point of ‘give me this quicker’, I think the real advantage of getting the core box out of the door as soon as it’s ready is you get it to retail much sooner. Obviously that’s easier said than done and there are other things that the company needs […]

@dawfydd Blue and orange has a nice contrast. Looks like you’ve got a Lu Duan there. What’re you planning to use for it’s holoechoes?

Ok I’ll just post and get some pictures later. I’ve got a couple of buildings assembled and primed and a couple more in pieces being primed. Normally I assemble them first but I figured I’d try and save some time on masking by priming a couple of them while they’re in pieces. I haven’t done […]

Cool to see them finished. And wow, those striking highlights look amazing on them too. Are there any plans to paint more Heavy Gear minis? Will you show them to us in their “natural environment” – on the gaming table? 😉

If this goes as big as Conan I think you can probably expect similar delays or at least extensions to the production times. I’m fairly sure that they can get the core game out by next Christmas, but they probably can’t get the game and 3 or 4 expansions done. On the flip side, some […]

I also posted some pics of one of the models (a Centaur) here: http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=85966.90
Not technically very good pics, and I’ll try to get some better ones. It’s a start though.

This blog post from Quirkworthy has some close-up images of the pre-production minis, so will hopefully give a good idea as to what we’ll get 🙂
