Rebellion Unplugged has announced that a new expansion is coming to their board game series, Joyride. Joyride: Survival of the Fastest and Joyride Duel Next Gen will be joined by Joyride: Full Throttle, a new standalone board game hitting Gamefound later in 2025.

Joyride Full Throttle - Rebellion Unplugged

Joyride: Full Throttle keeps the same core gameplay that players who dove into previous instalments will enjoy. It does expand the player count up to a whopping six alongside a bunch of content content like six new cards and drivers with unique abilities.

You will also get access to brand new, powerful items, dangerous obstacles to throw in the way and new tracks which have been tailored to the new player count. It also features gorgeous new artwork from Ant Williams (Marvel, DC, 2000AD), as you can see here.

Additional gameplay features include a new Team Mode, which allows you to do two-versus-two or two-versus-two-versus-two (say that three times fast) games. You will work to drive a Super Fan around the track as fast as possible, swapping the Super Fan between cars in the middle of the race. Wild.

The content from Full Throttle will also be compatible with previous entries in the Joyride series, so you can mix and match to your heart's content. If you've got everything for Joyride then you'll have access to fifteen unique cars and drivers.

Joyride: Full Throttle will be previewed in more detail at Essen SPIEL later this year so watch this space. If you like the sound of the game, you can check out our Let's Plays below.
