I really like Mantic’s elves. It’s a bold move to make them so different to the established aesthetic.
Mantic has really done good work with these Elves when it comes to both way they look and they backstory.

I must admit I am really impressed by the look of the Elven Infantry, they seem to have an elegant design.

loving mantic week
I really like the core warrior models of the Elves, especially the Bowmen with their Bows and Shields, but I think that the helms of some of their heroes are a little strange.
Been looking at kings of war for awhile the basilean army and undead look cool.
Just started getting into kings of War. Making a Samurai KOM army for it. The GF is starting an undead army too.
love the heroes, love the big destriers, but the rest I’ve always thought to be a bit… thin… shame, judging by the background and style they are pretty cool…

Well I just putting the finishing touches on the elf army, I got from the kickstarter and now you point out I can fill it with dragons…

I wasn’t really interested in elves but all the talk of dragons might have changed my mind.
I loved the Kings of War elves since the first kits.
Nice models very reasonable price think I will pick some up just have to decide what race.
The elves look pretty good, but I cant wait for the Twilight Kin! Its more fun to be bad 😀

i always end up with elves of some form or other so while i like how these look and the fact all the worlds problems are “there fault” may try (crucial word) to look elsewhere.

Love the elves, amazing detail for plastic models and while the svelte look doesn’t thrill everyone, I think its great.
The sea elven force sounds interesting. A bunch of ranged troops with some hard hitting Dragons to back them up. I might of found my army.
Haven’t you seen the DR Who a Christmas Carol Special Warren? Yes it had flying sharks…. Nice background for the elves thou, very LOTRish, but the elves are aware enough to understand many of the worlds problems are of their creation.
I love dwarfs as a fighting race but if something has dragons i usually go with it I may have to blend an army.

Leave it to the dam flower eaters to mess up the world, then go off, to screw up another one. No really nice with the ideal of kindred’s. I like being able to set them up the way I want not just high, wood, and dark elves. cool beans.
If I remember right, the elves were one of the first armies Mantic made. I’d like to see a side by side comparison between an elven spear man and one of the new Basilean troops to see if there is any scale creep because if I remember correctly the elves were quite tiny and spindly.
There is. BUT not intentional as the rest of the Basileans are scaled well to the Elves but the men at arms are dire and out of scale even with their own race!
I took advantage of Mantic’s last spring clean sale, and have around 1500 points of elves in the box ready to go. I can’t wait.
I like the dragons, and that you can take loads of dragons.

I am thinking about starting an elf army but I would like to keep it all elves so the only ally I would bring would be a nature army. Probably use camo colors for them and use some green stuff for a few capes with hoods. already have some from the kickstarter.

The angels in the Basileans army is so much prettier then anything I’ve seen in these elves. Good job leading off with those beauties. Plus, the elves sound like royal &^%$ ups!
Mantic’s Elves are quite creative and characterful army. I started out not liking them much, especially the Scouts, but they have grown on me as I appreciated their style, detail and uniqueness among fantasy Elves available. Also, I found sticking some cloaks on the Scouts and a little repositioning works wonders.
I am currently working on a South African themed Elf army using Basilian Cats, Lions, Rhinos and various birds for the army. I particularly like the freedom to design an army playing Kings of War offers. As you mentioned, an army of all Dragons? It can happen! Thanks Warren and James M.

Kings of war is popular at my local club, have a small elf contingent. Would choose undead and OGRES! Hope I win!

Interesting background- quite a few different kin – this might be an army that with the right figures could be used as different “kins” with just a few variations to a core force.

The elves were my first army, but Twilight Kin, Ogres, and Abyssal Dwarves are now getting my attention..
This would be my second choice of army. Great themed week guys.

Well, elves have a pretty basic backstory, however an entire army composed of dragons started me thinking. But those dragon riders (sans the dragon rider HQ) are kinda meh. Don’t like the models.

Don’t usually go in for these Elvish types, but the Dragons and Drake cavalry are awesome.

Some obvious options would be the wood elf treeman or the ent from LotT. Both from GW. But I’m sure there are more out there.

While the minis are cool and they’re full of dragons, i never seem to like the elves in any games.
