Want to take part in celebrating the 960th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings? Well, Project Hastings960 is doing just that as they are hoping that you will help them create an epic Historical wargaming display in 18mm scale alongside Peter's Paperboys!

Hastings 960 Project

Hastings960 Project

The team are going to be recreating a full battle, figure-for-figure, at a 1-to-1 scale in 18mm. This means two massive armies with 8400 Anglo-Saxons going up against 8400 Normans. All of this with the brilliant Paperboys figures.

If you're looking to get involved, you can pledge to help by cutting out and making one of the many bases that the team needs in order to build this battle. You can either decide to work on a unit of Anglo-Saxons or Normans that will then end up becoming part of a Fyrd or the Norman force made up of its cavalry, archers and spearmen.

The armies will be assembled and shown off at The Other Partizan on 11th October 2026, alongside a massive rolling banner with a beautiful illustration by Peter Dennis who is responsible for the excellent paper soldiers that you can get as part of the Paperboys range.

If you subscribe to the form HERE, then once you've pledged the units you'll be working on, all you'll need to do is snip, glue and send back the figures to the Hastings960 headquarters in Nottinghamshire.

This sounds like an excellent project and one that should be a true spectacle when it ends up at The Other Partizan next year.
