UK Games Expo, the largest hobby games convention in the United Kingdom, is going live with tickets for the various events that will be running at it this year.

Board Game Events

The latest set to go live were the Board Game tournament tickets.

These include old favourites, such as the UK Catan Championships and UK Carcasonne Championships (the winners of which go on to the world finals), as well as newcomers like Terraforming Mars.

There are some superb board game events being run, giving you the chance to play against extremely skilled players, as well as just enjoying some of your favourite games at the event.

Gaming Through History

Tickets have also gone live for the selection of wargaming tournaments run by the British Historical Games Society.

This list includes games such as Field of Glory Ancient and Medieval V3 and L'Art de la Guerre, letting you face off in ancient conflicts across the tabletop with some of the country's keenest players.

Seeing these alongside the different board game events being run gives a good idea of the variety of games held at UKGE. Speaking of variety...

Step Away From The Table

UKGE always has a wide variety of live entertainment for attendees to check out, the tickets of which are also now up for sale.

These shows are always good fun, ranging from live games of the classic show Knightmare, to an on-stage run through of Deathtrap Dungeon with industry legend Ian Livingstone.

If you want to get an idea of what these are like, you can find our recording of last year's Deathtrap Dungeon Live here.

Fantasy Flight Tournaments

Some of the most exciting game events at UKGE have to be those run by Fantasy Flight for their extensive range of tabletop games.

Events for Legend of the Five Rings: Grand Kotei and their new collectable card game Key Forge are already up for ticket sale.

Of course, this is not the limit of Fantasy Flight's catalogue. UKGE will be hosting the Fantasy Flight Nationals this year, with the planned schedule running throughout the convention:

Saturday

A Game of Thrones
Armada Top Cut
Imperial Assault Top Cut
Destiny Top Cut

Sunday

Side events

The tickets for these events are set to go live on the UKGE site tomorrow (Thursday 24th).

This isn't an exhaustive list of everything UKGE will have going on. Friday will also see tickets for the popular Starship Bridge Simulator go live, and there will be plenty of other incredible game events and seminars happening too.

If you want to see more of UKGE, check out our live blogs for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2018.
