@lloyd your new Hobby is ‘Control Line Flying’. It’s been around in the USA for decades! Many of the planes are small, but they do get very large. There is combat flying and stunt flying.

I personally just this week received my “Don’t Look Back” from https://blacksitestudio.com/dlb/ What a great game! I’m currently playing solo, (I didn’t wait to paint the minis I just jumped into playing), but can’t wait to drag/invite my wife to costar with me in the game. I hope for the day when I can sit across the table from other folks that don’t live with me, and play with four of us to see if we can survive the Killer of the evening.

What I want for Christmas is of course MORE miniatures, cool games, and time to work on and play with said miniatures. BUT, no one here buys any hobby stuff for me and I seem to work all the time. So I’ve planned a vacation that starts the day before Christmas Eve and runs until Jan 2nd 2021. All I’m hoping for is to hobby every day of that vacation and for the world to let me enjoy it. (aka, no emergencies that pry me away from said hobby time)

@brennon Those Renedra buildings are only suitable for SAGA. You couldn’t use them for Ravenfeast unfortunately

Thanks to everyone at OnTableTop for another great year of great shows, helpful tutorials and above all the laughter. Thanks to all members and Cogs for all the shares and projects you’ve all fed my inspiration this year and made me green with envy you talented fiends.
Footsore are great so much so I have to stop myself heading over too recently or I’d be constantly buying. Has everyone seen that Mel the terrain tutor has his book out, looks like a nice hardback that covers basics which I can’t wait to thumb through although I really should have backed on Kickstarter. His tutorial expanding foam islands and hills worked great for me just remember the grease proof paper. Also if your American Civil War buff like me there is a new epic scale game based on the blackpowder rule set that was released on preorder by Warlord this morning. I just dropped my pennies on the Dystopian preorder but I’m already doing the payday maths to justify the bundle set. Lloyd sounded like my sister at a KFC, You Just Don’t Get The Amount of Kroot that you used to Get – Santa give that man a bucket of Kroot. I’m looking forward to normality to return, my friends and I head to Brecon every year to this ranger station on the beacons, no kids or WAGs, and watch lots of movies or inside No.9 and the Mandalorian. I’m planning on taking the galeforce9 Alien game and FF mansions of madness to play through. As you’d all imagine from my past rambling I will be loitering around the Warcradle Site a lot ready to pounce money in fist, would be great to see Chris and Stu back on for interviews. Im with Lloyd I like the XLBS from your homes, Gerry can just reach out and show us what he’s already bought, Warren can use his remote to flash his hobby draws and Ben isn’t on a tv on a tv. If you guys find it more chilled and easier I’d say run with it.

Catching up with my Saga/Viking/Saxon backlog may well be next, after my WW3:TY Soviets, for which 10x T-80s and 1x BMP-3s will be under whatever passes for a tree this year.
@brennon, the BattleSystems Northern Settlement is an ideal scenery option if storage space is an issue.
I have been looking at that actually. It might work as something a tad more Fantastical.

Yeah, I want to see a Lloyd built a Kroot kill team, just to help get some of those great minis he has to have some paint on and look cool. I wonder if he could use them in the Mercs reboot in some way, would also make a great Necromunda gang too.
He only has to build a handful of miniatures so fingers crossed we get him to do it!

We may have entered Tier 2 then Tier 3 and now Tier 4 (England) and Christmas will now be different to what was planned and I didn’t manage to finish my Mubraxis Dustdogs in time to enter GW’s Armies on Parade, I know there is much positivity to have from the potential pressies under the Xmas tree. I’m already planning a new project to start on OTT and yes it will involve Astra Militarum tanks again but maybe with some air support. I’m also going to continue the fantasy themed Bretonnian Army which I began 12 months ago (Beware the Jabberwock my son!). I’m also going to plan for the OTT Spring Clean with miniatures from Freebooter Fate and Diehard Miniatures. I may even get the Armies in Parade finished for next Autumn! My main New Year’s resolution is to encourage my kid’s creativity in these continued dark times through skirmish wargaming and warband painting. Stay safe everyone over the Festive Period and here’s to a better 2021. ???

I will likely be getting nothing hobby wise, my relatives never seem to like encouraging my addiction, I feel like an intervention is more likely.
On the plus side I will likely be getting some 15mm Celtic and roman ancient STLs for pocket size infamy.
2021 I’m looking forward to playing all of the games I picked up in 2020 which turned out to be quite a lot. Oathmark, infamy, some WHFB 6th ed I really really cantw wait!
Thanks for a GREAT year fellas. I have spent more time on hobby this year than any year in the past and I always enjoy my Sunday morning painting sessions. Always good to see some golden buttons handed out, getting to enjoy the work for fellow cultists. I would like to wish everyone a very SAFE and happy holidays. Best wishes to all!

God Damn it! I was on Footsore website and in no time found a Saxon warband for Saga and checking out the PDF from Raven Feast with the question “so what do I need to paint to get a basic army and ensla…. uh enlist new people in the hobby”
Will have to look into those trees too, kinda got bummed out after 4ground stopped their stunning trees
I agree with @lloyd, this format of show is fun to watch as it is a bit more free form and the interaction with your collections is interesting
@brennon I found some very reasonably priced trees on ebay – might be worth a dig at what’s there if you don’t fancy making your own.

What I expect under my Christmas tree? the ton of miniatures I ordered during the black Friday sales from all kind of games, that you guys talked me into through the weekenders. I need to start practicing some special self discipline techniques or stop watching the shows. 🙂
