Battlefront Miniatures has been showing off some of the new miniatures available for the Bulge: British of Flames Of War. There are a fair few options for your 15mm World War II wargames starting with the Chaffee Recon Troop.

The Chaffee light tank gets the 75mm gun like the Cromwell and Sherman without losing out on speed and armour like the Stuart tank. The focus here is on making sure that the tank can fulfil that scouting and recon role whilst also being able to engage in a fight if required.

You might also want to tinker with the Sexton or RAM Troop.

The options presented within allow you to go with additional firepower from the use of the RAM or you can add some artillery into the mix with the Sexton. You might even want to switch to transportation with the use of the Kangaroo. Whichever way you go, this should be a handy kit for bulking out a British force.

You might also want to smash enemy armour out of the way with the use of the Archer Anti-Tank Troop.

Here, the 17pdr anti-tank guns are attached to the valentine chassis. To make the gun fit, they strapped it to the rear end of the vehicle. It means a hefty piece of kit could be carted around the battlefield.

Last but not least for the bigger kits this week, we have the Land Mattress Rocket Troop for the British to use.

According to Battlefront, this was a visionary artillery system that used all of the discarded, substandard and badly fitted equipment from different branches of the British army. It then all got turned into a superbly effective area-of-effect weapon. Just light the fuse and away you go, saturating the battlefield with explosives.

Last but not least, we also have some new terrain options from the Battlefield In A Box range. This means you can scamper through backyards in a running skirmish.

There will be a variety of different options for you to choose from allowing you to make a collection of rural villages throughout France. They provide you with some helpful cover as long as the enemy isn't hiding out in the houses nearby!
