So I’ve made myself a new lighting setup, and the difference is amazing for my poor eyes! It’s nothing more than an LED strip attached to a strip of aluminium bent to fit into a simple MDF base. All up it’s less than $5 of components and about half an hour to make:

 

My first test run was finishing off my Grey Seer, who now just needs some flock / leaves / tufts on the base to be finished.
