Ok… so I got out of work and it was *quickly calculates* -15C and not shy of pretty damn windy. I’m back home and bundled up and glad to see that there’s a sizable difference between the outside temp and the indoor one. I’m very glad that I just replaced the air filter for my heating system on Tuesday.

Quite a bit I missed from the beginning but I can say on the cartoon front that there was quite a bit I remember from your list @sundancer . There also were other features that were up at about the same time as I remember in Italy there were quite a few anime releases on Junior TV that come to mind:

Lupin III

Galaxy Express 999 (Maitel still makes me melty)

Fist of the North Star

Captain Tsubasa

Captain Harlock

Saint Seiya

Ginga Patrol PJ (which I’d say is an inspiration for the current series Cells at Work. Platelet FTW!)

Hakushon Daimaō (found this only remembering that it had genies and was the source of inspiration for the character Sumomo in the series Chobits)

Yatterman

and then there was a co-op station in Italy that I remember Italian and some British programs running on Channel 55 that ran Star Blazers

Right, to add my two cents to the musical mayhem

I would not be the person I am today without growing up and catching on the Armed Forces Radio broadcast of Dr. Demento on Sunday afternoons when I was a kid.

A less obvious choice attached to the popular genre of hair metal/rock

Now to continue breaking away…

A great addition to the film “Toys”

I try to forget all the Whitesnake, Def Leopard, Foreigner, the Pet Shop Boys and quite a few more that I trip over in digging into music.
