Thanks, Phaidknott.  We like starting form the historic position and exploring the possibilities.  As you say, always a good test of the rules if they allow a historic result to be possible, but perhaps not a forgone conclusion.

As Gerry says, historical games were well represented, both with big, epic games, as well as plenty of interesting smaller scale affairs.  I like the mix of games at Salute; I find things to take away, and inspire, from just about every game there, of what ever genre.
