Good Morning All!

I’ve moved on to the next two slope boards (4 in total), and have started work on my five starship crew.

As I’ve mentioned, two were stolen last year, and I had to buy five’s of all the bits to replace them. Also, as luck would have it, the ship’s decking bases I used aren’t available anymore, so I have to scratch build them. I’ll use sprue and plasticard to make deck plate and pipes. I have a 1/16th hole punch for rivets, and sculptor’s mesh to make grating. I’ve got the first layer of plasticard down on the bases, and will build from there. I’ve also started pinning the feet. I also still have air tanks and helmets to attach to the crewmens’ waists. These weren’t easy to make.

Apologies for the pics. My camera got stolen at the LGS on Wednesday, so am gimping along with Vi’s tablet.

@unclejimmy Etch-a-Sketch was a miracle of technology; it mimicked a pencil and eraser, but was a large glass and plastic box, rather than a small convenient stick, and was 1000 times more expensive.

Did you get the wash too dark on the Traktor Muls, or is it just the camera?

@mage Great looking bikes. You’ve already completed your pledge! Time for another!

@limburger if you want to do conversions Orks are the way to go! Might I suggest messing around with some appropriate sized dollar store stuff first? That way you won’t ruin a good kit, and may end up with something you like anyway. Plasticard is great for conversion work. I would also suggest getting a 1/16” hole punch to make rivets out of plasticard. Works great!

Lynette Nusbacher needs more ‘girl classes.’ I hope she kept her penis on ice, in case the whole woman thing doesn’t work out.

Something mellow this morning:

Game on everyone. Progress pics to follow… after chores of course!
