And that’s exactly my point. If it’s something I want, my enthusiasm doesn’t fade over time, if anything the wait makes me more more excited when delivery eventually occurs.  I think if my excitement faded then it would be fair to say I probably didn’t want it all that much in the first place, I was just caught up in some hype.  When people say that their excitement has died I am trying to understand why that happens, what changes occur in the time between the kickstarter concluding and the final delivery and in what sort of timescales do those changes occur (which might then explain why certain delay lengths are considered more acceptable)
