I didn’t even get round to making any pledges in 2023 or 2024, but it turns out I actually had a relatively successful year last year, so I’ll be making a few pledges this year and hoping to keep up the momentum.

When I looked back at 2022 I found that although I may not have finished some pledges then, I have done so subsequently, so I’ve sneakily updated 2024 with the mains ones I did / got underway.

This year I plan to:

• Complete building the Maggotkin of Nurgle Army I’m working on for an AoS Escalation League at my FLGS. It’s been going well so far.
• Continue progressing the painting of the Nurgle Army. All but one unit I’ve used so far has at least had some base coating. Nothing has been completely finished, and if I’m honest, I may not get as far as finishing this army… but I’d like to at least continue to add paint to it as it grows. This was also the subject of a project I started here on OTT/BoW: http://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1870127/ (I haven’t kept the project up to date in part because it was so frustrating trying to upload updates…)
• Build and paint several complete Legions Imperialis formations. Ideally enough to let me make a fully playable army. Build on the modelling work I’ve done on this over the last week following a ‘meet other players and learn the game’ day at the FLGS.
• Finish picking models for, paint and then play some games of Five Parsecs From Home. Related: finalise a format for recording the development of my crew and the narrative of the game.
• I would very much like to start a blog chronicling my journey into 5PFH. That could be tricky as it’d not just be a time commitment (which I really struggle with) but would be technologically well outside my comfort zone!

I might add to this, but it’ll do for now…
