I also apologise for being a bit abrupt.

Dr Faust has some excellent videos on painting dragons.

Vince does a ” cheating” series that is useful.

Sam is so laid back you wonder how he gets anything done.

    James is just The Master.

Angelo is possible the best airbrush painter around, he even dots the eyes with one.

Best advice I can give is just start and see where you end up.

I must admit that the size of that drake is probably the most intimidating part of the project.

I also wouldn’t know where to begin … (and I have a really big one that I want to paint eventually).

It is a bit like painting an army … except unlike an army you can’t do a tiny bit and have something finished at the end of a day.
This sort of thing will take several days(?) just to get the base colours down … never mind getting it to tabletop standard (or beyond).

So yeah … how do you approach the really big monsters/vehicles/terrain pieces ?

@demonprince if you had painted drakes of that size before you wouldn’t be asking for advice 😉

I just remember that there was a tutorial video on this site about painting a dragon.
    This is it :

P-VLOG: D&D Dracolich – From Parts To Painted

It should have enough tips for your drake as well.

There also is one in the OTT Projects system :

    Joan of Arc Dragon
