March 14, 2019 at 6:10 pm #1361643March 14, 2019 at 6:52 pm #1361648And that comic is from the starting year of X-Wing…. there has been more…. much, much more…. XD
March 14, 2019 at 7:52 pm #1361661@ mage I might need to send a care package if you’re falling apart. We’ll need to keep at least one spare mod about.
@blinky465 A whole classic cartoon themed team? That’d be interesting but a bit busy to field. Probably better to use as star players. Looking over the teams that Greebo has that are up for sale I’m tempted in future to broaden out from Orks. This I say as I have yet to paint said latest edition of orks or get around to my Guild Ball teams. So many things to play with and just collect. Its not a wonder why WarmaHordes allows plain plastic for their gaming.
@sundancer says the man with a holiday themed figure and much in the way of opportunity to expand his collection
Tauntons with antlers and red noses?
March 14, 2019 at 8:09 pm #1361663@sundancer : that’s not a soft spot moon …
btw : You did see the Warcry announcement ? 😉
GW may still get to you
*grin* Ve have our vays and means !@mage : get well soon.
I’m not operating at peak efficiency myself at the moment, but I’m still functional.March 14, 2019 at 8:20 pm #1361665@horati0nosebl0wer still waiting on what the imperial counterpart will be for the taun tauns…. I’m guessing Dewbacks…
@limburger yes, saw warcry… much yawning on my part. Seriously. last thing that got me really excited from GW was the announcement of speed freaks… I hoped for GorkaMorka… somehow they don’t strike any chords with me anymore. Last thing I bought from GW (aside from shades) was the Blood Bowl release. and that’s now… 3 years ago? And *don’t* mention the war!
March 14, 2019 at 8:29 pm #1361681@horati0nosebl0wer – not a Blood Bowl team, minis for a MOTU themed game. Someone in an earlier thread said a Masters of the Universe game would be cool, I got my mate onto 3d printing a Castle Grayskull and ordered a bunch of minis within hours. Still waiting on these guys (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/582701882/quest-miniatures-series-1-he-man-and-the) along with Trap-Jaw and Merman (I couldn’t push it to two boxed sets so had to be selective!). In the meantime, I’m looking for a ruleset to make a MOTU game….
March 14, 2019 at 8:42 pm #1361683@blinky465 at Tactica Hamburg there was a guy already having done that 😉 See HERE
Me has done some hobby! Now I need to let iit dry….
March 14, 2019 at 9:13 pm #1361695@blinky465 great work on the He Man mini 🙂
March 15, 2019 at 6:21 am #1361735@sundancer Evil-lyn on the hamburger-tactica page is a good conversion using Reaper’s Sinessa (03565). Now to wait and see what you’ve been up to my crafty friend.
@blinky465 I think that there’s so much that could be done with the building up for that kind of game it reminds me of what’s been done with the DC Universe IP regarding Batman and the like. If you were to boil that down just to two factions it works and then play around with the various combinations of characters depending on scenario. I don’t have any idea of how to build rulesets but I can look at what you are talking about and see how it might be similar.
Now, you might want to take into consideration the Cringer/Battlecat and Panthor extension to the range you can play with. I don’t think that there are any vehicles that Skeletor’s forces had (maybe a tank) so He-Man had the upperhand in that department. But if you limited it to figure combat like Knight Miniatures has then the minis are fine by themselves. I’ll include some stuff to review for scenarios and probably some optional fluff you can homebrew into stuff.March 15, 2019 at 10:26 am #1361788March 15, 2019 at 7:29 pm #1362083@sundancer I think it’s too early to call anything regarding Warcry.
It does kind of suck that GW doesn’t always follow through with potentially awesome concepts.
I hope Speed Freaks was a mere test for an updated Gorka Morka, but I’m afraid it is more likely that it was a marketing stunt to sell new Ork vehicles. -
