    I’m sorry to report that Martin Mckenna has passed away. You may be familiar with his illustrations from Death on the Reik and Fighting Fantasy. Here are links to two memorial posts and a memorial fund:

    Well that’s a real shame. I met him at Fighting Fantasy Fest a few years ago and he was in pretty good shape. I wouldn’t have thought he’d go any time soon.

    He did the artwork for a White Dwarf WFRP article ‘Grapes of Wrath’ in WD 98 which was the point at which I got hooked into the Old World. It was a subtle adventure which McKenna’s artwork made all the richer.
    His art for both WH and 40K is superb. RIP

    Thank you for sharing that . His art gave let you “feel” the flavour of the world he was describing. all with simple yet magnificent “black line work”.  He left us too soon but he made so many peoples lives just that little bit more wonderful.
