    ### Start of shameless copy & paste ###

Read all of this before you start as it will save any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

And don’t forget the highlights of the weekend: The Weekender on Friday and XLBS on Sunday. And the little show that is the unofficial Hobby Hangout over at twitch.tv

    ### End of shameless copy & paste ###

    Questions of the week:

    • Is Disney doing too much Star Wars?
    • How are you atm?
    • What is the weirdest Christmas tradition in your house/family?

    My answers:

    • Maybe. If they keep up the quality they currently show on the Mandalorian it should be a nice 2021/2022. Always remember most of these shows are planned with a very limited amount of episodes so they don’t flood the screen all at once. I hope.
    • Tired. Exhausted. And still too much to do until 2021… new servers and stuff setting up is hard.
    • I don’t think we have anything weird. We sleep in, do a relaxed day and then presents are gifted and we do a big lunch. Mostly it’s relaxing and enjoying the happy face you wife and daughter.

    Now back to work.

Is Disney doing too much Star Wars?- I haven’t seen the new series.  Apparently my TV is too old to sign up to Disney.  But, whilst I would like to see The Mandolorian, I’m not bothered by their new series.

How are you atm?- Better than I was thank you.  Work not quite as busy as it was in November giving me more time to catch up.  Mostly I’m just tired.  I am off next week so I hope to chill out, paint some models and get ready for Christmas.

What is the weirdest Christmas tradition in your house/family?- I’m not sure we have one.  The closet to one I had was to keep putting “Santa’s footprints”, made with talcum powder, in a trail leading my son’s Christmas present sack in his bedroom until he was fourteen.  He was not impressed but it made me laugh.

Can you ever REALLY have too much Star Wars?

Just finishing up the last paper of the semester today, so that I can hopefully do some Socially Distant Hobby with my brothers tomorrow, so there may be some new hobby stuff on my project! I also finally got the base paint for my Librarian, so he can finally be finished, too! Still going to be a bit of a hectic week for me as classes may be done, but my physics exam looms and that will require plenty of studying… That being said, the extra week of christmas break will be a nice time to just kick back and relax.

You have questions? Questions that need answering?

Is Disney doing too much Star Wars?

Yes. Definitely yes. They have bought into the whole ‘we make money as fast as we make films’ bullshit that a lot of video game companies have gotten in to. I love Star Wars, but I would rather wait 3 years for a good film than get something thrown at me every year. Too much of a good thing is not the greatest to deal with. But Mickey Mouse is only happy when he can shovel cold hard cash down his gullet.

    How are you atm?

I’ve been better, but I’ve also been worse. It’s been a long pandemic, chaps, and the old sanity wasn’t too good when I started. I play with toy soldiers, for crying out loud! 😛

What is the weirdest Christmas tradition in your house/family?

We used to go to a pantomime every year when we were kids…but that ended a while ago; Canadians don’t understand that kind of thing anyways so there are none this far from dear old Blighty. I usually assume that everything I do is weird, but christmas is actually the most ‘normal’ thing my family does… 😛

So maybe expect some more hobby from me in the near future. Got another of the Daughters of Khaine from the Shadespire team primed and ready for paint, so she should be fun. No golden face mask on this lady!

No real pledge this week. I’m taking a couple of weeks to catch up on TV instead, like Mandalorian and Agents of Shield.

    1. Is Disney doing too much Star Wars? – A film a year didn’t seem to work, but TV might work out. At first I thought announcing 10 shows/films was too much, but then I realised that spread out over 3 years it perhaps becomes sensible. There will only ever be one or two things after your attention at once.
    2. How are you atm? – Holding on until the Christmas break.
    3. What is the weirdest Christmas tradition in your house/family? – Nothing odd with us really. Open presents, Christmas Dinner mid-afternoon, leftovers in the evening, TV in between.

I actually got a mini painted! Shock horror! 😛 Been a while, but I’ll create a project post during the Hobby Hangout (which I can also tune into today!) Feels like forever since I’ve been able to do either of those things… Anyway, here’s a look at my latest member of my Daughters of Khaine Shadespire team!
