    ### Start of shameless copy & paste ###

Read all of this before you start as it will save any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

    ### End of shameless copy & paste ###

    Questions of the week:

    1. Have you cancelled any trips/games/convention due to “end time virus panic”
    2. Have you started playing Pandemic again? (Boardgame and/or Smartphone app)
    3. The year is almost 1/4th done… how does that make you feel?

    1) Nope, there’s a lot of people around me losing their minds, but I’d rather not buy into the media scare mongering.

2)Haven’t got it, but I do have a so far unplayed copy of Plague Inc. on my shelf that might see an airing soon.

3)I’m shocked how the passage of time has accelerated the older I get, and especially at weekends when it seems to fly at ludicrous speed.

Saturday will be my first foray into latest Kickstarter delivery World at War 85. Followed by a yet to be on decided painting sesh. I’ve got some Sigmarines, Nighthaunts and Batman GCC on the table waiting to go.

Sunday, the better half wants a game day, so it’s been decided that Labyrinth and Memoir 44 will be on the table. Then in the blink of an eye it’ll be Monday and back to work 🙁

Oh I forgot, this weekend there are the “Bremen Gamedays” and I will be there if they don’t get cancelled …

    Ludicrous speed??

    > Have you cancelled any trips/games/convention due to “end time virus panic”

I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA, so YEP. In my own town, there’s one elderly victim in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital. The SF Bay Area has 20+ cases. So no socializing or the YMCA for now. Considering my backlog of miniatures and three KS I’m funding, I’m keeping busy. Plus, the dog’s happy she’s getting more walks, and there’s less of a chance someone will fall through the front porch now that it’s fixed. 😛 Aside from the face masks, all the prep we’ve been doing should have been done years ago for an earthquake, anyway. It’s also still flu season and I had a cold back in November, so I’m fine with washing my hands more and avoiding touching my face.

    > First thing you must do is make your “pledge”

Oops! Forgot to mention I’m wokring on painting accessories for the Hand of Glory miniatures. The gimmick of these miniatures is that you swap the arms (that are held with magnets to the miniature) so that your Cleric can wield a cross in one fight, and two bottles of grog in another. 😀 HoG has a second KS live.

BTW, The background is from Loke Battlemat’s “Dungeon Books” KS. And, yep, they also have a “Town and Taverns” map KS live. The furniture is from Tiny Furniture, and, yep, they’re gonna have a “Harvest of War” corpses KS in a few days. There goes the wallet. 😛

This week’s pledge is to finish a 75mm figure I’m painting up, and to play another session of Tainted Grail.

    1. Have you cancelled any trips/games/convention due to “end time virus panic” – we decided not to host a kid’s birthday party in a few weeks, but otherwise not really.
    2. Have you started playing Pandemic again? (Boardgame and/or Smartphone app) – never played it in the first place.
    3. The year is almost 1/4th done… how does that make you feel? – I prefer to think we are only just over 1/6th.

    ooh … weekend …
not a lot of hobby planned, because I’m visiting my nephew tomorrow.

    1) Have you cancelled any trips/games/convention due to “end time virus panic”
Not yet, but we are supposed to avoid crowds.
While I wouldnt’ call it an ‘end time virus panic’ I’m rather annoyed at how our government has been pretending it’s nothing when the spread of infections (quite a few unexplained) isn’t slowing down.

    2) Have you started playing Pandemic again? (Boardgame and/or Smartphone app)

    What about Plague Inc. ?
I remember playing that as an Android game years ago (Greenland, Iceland and Malta usually ensuring total annihilation was prevented :-()
I also got the boardgame version and the ‘Apocalyps’ expansion as a result of a kickstarter.

Not sure if I will have time to play though, but we’ll see.

    3) The year is almost 1/4th done… how does that make you feel?
Time flies when you’re having fun … and we are having fun, right ?

@flatbattery Spaceballs was one of the best SF comedy movies ever made.
Of course someone would know *that* reference 😀

I’ve only got one lousy job in this thread, it’s stupid but I am doing it

    😀

Nope I’m too broke to think about cons/trips and games are boxed up with weekend time for moving things around.

Never played Pandemic but Plague Inc. is in my Steam collection. I need to reformat my pc and get back to some quality infection. Its such a nice thing to see that you nuts have similar taste in that regard too.

With Q1 done this is not at all great. I want a good home where I can relax with my cat and gf. That home is required to have space enough for my hobby.

Well so much for hunkering down. It looks like the kung flu has hit my area and is starting to get reported cases. Meh, time will tell how bad it is if symptoms are like the common cold/flu. So far my health is ok and I’m still working.

For hobbying, I’m plugging away at my Wild West base. The walkway and the grit are set.

I’ve found some inspiration to work from on a backdrop.

    wild-west-architecture-cowboy-ghost-town-buildings-wyoming-usa-63523496

I wondered why some contest entries put those in but it makes sense when you think about a mini environment. I just need to get the scale right. I keep coming back to train hobbyist sites and trying to find what is commercially available to use. S and OO seem to be about the right size but it all boils down to how it looks in person. I think the 3D printing community has an easy fix on how to deal with this with simple scaling. For now, I’ll take a stab at building by hand and see what comes of it.My pledge is to build the base backdrop.

    Crap! I forgot music

@sundancer  I think that Monster Magnet track was used in Heavy Metal FAKK 2. I was pretty fond of the Insane Clown Posse “Dirt Ball”. I’d link but the Julie Strain art might be a bit much for sensitivities.
