Bring New Crimson Hussars To Trench Crusade With Bullet Basilica
March 4, 2026 by brennon
Bullet Basilica are now on Kickstarter with a brand-new campaign delivering grimdark miniatures for you to use in the likes of Trench Crusade and beyond. Here, we have their campaign for the Crimson Hussars!
Crimson Hussars Kickstarter // Bullet Basilica
The range of miniatures as part of this campaign focuses on providing you with Eastern European-inspired soldiers for you to use when building an alternative warband for use in Trench Crusade. The "Winged Hussar" vibes are strong here and rules for including them as part of your Trench Crusade games will be coming soon. Until Bullet Basilica comes out with their unofficial rules, you could easily use these to slot in amongst the ranks of the New Antioch or maybe Trench Pilgrim forces.
Crimson Hussars - Miniatures // Bullet Basilica
There is a range of both character and troop miniatures for you to use when diving into the Crimson Hussars collection. We start with the core of your warband and the Crimson Hussars Troops. This is available as both a Build-Kit and a pre-assembled set if you'd prefer.
Crimson Hussars Troops Build-Kit // Bullet Basilica
The Build-Kit comes with a range of both ranged and melee weapons for you to use when crafting the Crimson Hussars. You could also use this to kitbash with other sets out there, allowing you to make unique figures for use in Trench Crusade and beyond. The pre-assembled set is perfect for those who just want to get painting.
If you're looking for some leaders to charge into battle, then there is also the Special Squad.
Crimson Hussars Special Squad // Bullet Basilica
The Special Squad comes with a banner bearer, leader, musician and a selection of troops armed with more specialised weaponry. I like that the flag on the banner isn't massive, so that you won't have an issue actually transporting this warband!
If you're looking to snap up the core of this force, that would be the Winged Cavalry. Once again, like the other sets, this comes with lots of components for you to build them in different ways. I like that they have the classic "wings" on full display, blending together the Historical with the grimdark.

If you're seeking some more specialised melee options, then you can also check out the Blade Dancers. These are super creepy and I could see these in a Dark Souls game! I do like the idea of painting them with their white robes and then splattering them with blood as they have done here.
Blade Dancers // Bullet Basilica
Amongst the ranks of the Crimson Hussars, you also have the Wingless. The Wingless are prisoners who have been captured by the Crimson Hussars and given a chance for them to repent by earning their chance for redemption in battle.
Wingless // Bullet Basilica
This means charging headlong into the guns of the enemies with bombs in their hands. If they die in a glorious explosion, then at least they will have repented by taking out the enemy. I like the fellow who has got properly serious about this and run into battle with not one but two bombs.
Crimson Hussars Heroes
This range also comes with a selection of different heroes for you to choose from as part of the project.
Alchemiliant // Bullet Basilica
The Alchemilitant is responsible for, you guessed it, chemical warfare. They brew special gases which can boost the martial capabilities of the Crimson Hussars whilst turning their enemies into a bubbling mess.
One of my favourite miniatures is the Czar Cannon!
Czar Cannon // Bullet Basilica
Flesh and metal have been fused together by capturing a demonic entity and then augmenting and reanimating it alongside the body of a mortal man to kill their own kind. Use the power of your enemy against them! Is this heretical or simply a good strategy?
Lastly, for this preview at least, we have the Hussar Ataman, who is a tireless and relentless leader of men. He comes with a brutal hammer and a revolver, which is ready to blast away the enemy.
Hussar Ataman // Bullet Basilica
This is by no means all of the miniatures that you can get your hands on as part of this campaign. There are three options for you to choose from when it comes to diving into this campaign. The Standard Set gets you everything in STL format and you can then add on additional content as you see fit. There are also Merchant plans if you'd like to 3D print these for others.
If you're looking for a brand-new set of Trench Crusade-themed miniatures, you can scoop these up right now on Kickstarter!
Are you going to be picking these up?

Thats lame that almost always the same factions get miniatures. Not very creative.
