Justin's Sell Sword Shieldmaiden Warband

Justin wanted to show off just some of the models from his Shieldwolf inspired warband for use in the Fabled Realms. These ladies hit hard but if they get struck in return they might end up in some pain...they are effectively glass cannons.

Check out Shieldwolf Miniatures for yourself...

We will have to make sure that we catch up with Justin and find out how his warband has fared throughout their games.

Ah ha,close ups!! Great looking minis these, very good idea of including them in the game. There are so many possibilities at the moment eith the game and they style of miniatures. I cant wait to see some more on the lore so I can work out who comes from where and make some cery thematic armies replresentative of areas of the world

It’s pretty cool indeed the 4Ground guys are very relaxed about using other brands of mini’s.
Not that that would stop me, but it is cool if there will be tournaments in the future.

This just goes to show the advantages of designing a system where a “legal” model is allowed if it makes sense.
Truly a narrative driven gaming system, where the players creativity provides momentum and reduces staleness.
What intrigues me is the back story of these ladies and their motivations; I would keep playing to see where they are going and if I could help/hinder them from achieving their goals.
That wouldn’t be there if we were not allowed to drop units like these into the game.

Those Shieldmaidens are cracking mini’s. Are they going to retail after the KS has fulfilled ?

awesome models. I’m assuming the hands on the flag belong to some fellow who got a bit grabby at the pub.

I was very tempted to work some Shield Maidens into my own kitbashed warband but the scale and height difference with other common sources of parts make them look like starved half-giants if you mix and match them.. so doing a Shield Maiden only warband is the right way to go and they look great!

They have maidens riding loins. How did I miss that?

Very nice, you could sprinkle a couple of the hasslefree minis amongst that group to add some extra flavour.
