Game Informer peeked my interest yesterday with an interesting reveal concerning a new video game set in Middle-Earth and between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. See what you think of Shadow Of Mordor...

Middle-Earth - Shadow Of Mordor

Shadow Of Mordor sees you playing as a Ranger named Talion as he travels into the depths of Mordor before it became the blasted wasteland you know it as in the books and final movie, Return of the King.

The interesting details right now are that it will include something called the Nemesis System where every enemy you fight is a named foe and if they are able to survive a fight with you they will develop and grow alongside Talion within the game and maybe they'll seek revenge.

It sounds like a pretty fun idea and a lot darker, much like War in the North was when it was released a few years back. I did enjoy that game and it's always fun to dive back into Middle-Earth from a gaming perspective in whatever form it takes.

Does this sound like fun?
