Craft Arthurian Age Warbands With Victrix’s New Bundles
October 6, 2025 by brennon
Victrix Miniatures has added two new warbands to their collection for those seeking to fight out some Arthurian Age battles on the tabletop in 28mm scale. You can now get miniature bundles for both your Late Romans and your Early Saxons.
Late Roman Warband // Victrix Miniatures
We start with the miniatures for your Late Romans in a set that combines both armoured and unarmoured infantry alongside command figures, archers and even heavy cavalry. This represents a force of Late Romans from the 4th and 5th Centuries, where what remained of the Roman Empire had to hold out against barbarian incursions, the threat of warlords and the collapsing empire.
Late Roman Warband - Sprues // Victrix Miniatures
Inside the set, you'll get Unarmoured Infantry, Armoured Infantry, Infantry Command, Heavy Cavalry Riders + Horses, Archers & Slingers and then an additional Late Roman Head sprue. You can see the exact breakdown when it comes to numbers above.

As well as being useful as Late Romans, they will also work perfectly as the aforementioned Romano-British/Arthurians, as well as Germanic/Gothic warriors if you'd prefer. I think you could very easily create a fun warband for Arthur and his warriors using just the contents of this plastic kit, especially with some of the additional head options.
Early Saxon Invaders
Arrayed against them are the Early Saxons, who also get themselves a full warband of plastic miniatures in 28mm scale.
Early Saxon Warband // Victrix Miniatures
This set represents the Early Saxons, be that the Saxons, Angles, Jutes or the Danes that would have migrated and indeed invaded Britain during the 4th to 6th Century. They are the perfect adversary to the Romans, Romano-British and Arthurians that we've seen above. A perfect warband for the age of Beowulf.
Early Saxon Warband - Sprues // Victrix Miniatures
This set comes with Early Saxon Armoured and Unarmoured Infantry as well as Late Roman Archers and Dark Age Archers to help with your ranged contingent. You will also get a Late Roman Head sprue, which can be used to add more customisation options to your warband.
This introduces a wide mix of dynamic poses, weapons, shield and head options, allowing you to build elite warriors and lightly equipped raiders. A set that is well worth exploring if you like doing a bit of kitbashing and converting.
Early Saxon Warband - Miniatures // Victrix Miniatures
Both sets come with thirty-plus miniatures and are very reasonably priced for the detailed plastic kits that you get within each set. These warbands have been sought after by quite a lot of the community and should be great for throwing into all of your Historical wargames.
Could you be tempted to snap up one or both of these warbands so that you can start crafting a collection for some Arthurian Age wargaming?

Arthur and the gang.
Man, any time I see anything about Victrix minis, I get the itch — even if I already have them! They’re perfect for Low/Dark Fantasy.
I’m very interested in Saga as a game, and this boxes make the jump even more interesting.
