New Indians Emerge From Wargames Factory’s Woods
January 1, 2015 by dracs
Wargames Factory are ringing in the new year by showing off some new images of their upcoming Woodland Indian box set, bringing you more woodland fighters than you can shake a tomahawk at.
Whoever sculpted these has done a fantastic job in making each of the models seem like a living, screaming individual, rather than just a bland mass of identical warriors. The set also has a lot of adaptability, offering collectors the chance to build them with a variety of poses or equipment ranging from bows to black powder muskets.
We first saw this set announced back in June so it is a relief to see it finally preparing to make an appearance. The set's adaptability makes these ideal for many gaming uses, most notably to recreate the French-Indian Wars in Black Powder, but I have a friend running an Indian warband in Legends of the old West who will definitely be happy to see this.
Do you think Wargames Factory's Woodland Indians might join your raiding bands?
Think I missed these earlier – they look ace!
Those are rather nice little bunch of native americans.
This is a fantastic kit and looks very organic with them in many unique stands from one another. I could see many uses for them.
What’s the four guy from the left holding up? It looks kind of like a white lightsaber.
It’s a basket hilted sword.
These could easily be converted into some post-apoc raiders
My only gripe with WF’s revolutionary war minis is that they’re noticeably larger than most other 28mm, but with the quality of these sculpts it doesn’t really matter that much. Yet another fantastic entry in their line, can’t wait to see more 😀
Look wonderful to me.
Well painted too.
I really want to get these, even though I don’t game French Indian Wars….lots of uses, inc. as already stated Post Apoc Raiders….Barb Mercs….hmmmmm
Curious to know what stats etc.. is Sams friend using for Legends of the old west apache gang. I also want to run a native american posse/warband but there are only rules for 3 gangs so am in need of some ideas of how to do it.?
These look great, and wondering could they be used as Skraelings in Saga?
Dont see why not…go for it. YOu might have to think about the ones with muskets and basket hilyed broadswords but I am sure they could be drilled out and replaced with spears
