Loke Battle Mat Releases More Maps For Your RPG Encounters

Loke Battle Mats make some fantastic books for games masters looking to expand their settings without having to worry about storing dozens of mats or map sheets and transport them when needed. To-day they are adding a pair of new books to their range with the Big Book of Battle Mats: volume 2 and the Giant Book of Battle Mats: volume 2

The Big Book of Battle Mats: vol 2 // Loke Battle Mats

The Big Book contains sixty individual maps or thirty pairs in if you lay the book flat which is something the spiral binding is designed to make easier for you. The single page is a seven by twelve grid so expanding it across the double-page spread gives a meaty fourteen-inch length for your adventures to cross. The maps range from forested outdoors to detailed interiors and several different climates to boot, there's even a boat! The final pair is a blank grid in case you need something even more unique. All of the pages are glossy so you can write on with dry-erase pens to make the most of the maps and note down anything in particular that you want the party to trip over or spend too much time investigating.

The Giant Book of Battle Mats // Loke Battle Mats

The Giant Book picks up where the Big one left off, 62 maps this time around though and it is worth noting that while the maps are similar they are not the same. In some cases the design is expanded on, like the interior of the house having larger rooms and an exterior or the castle being "zoomed out" to show a second rampart and tower, others, however, take the theme and change it so the sewers have a different layout or the forest has more trees.

This means you can combine the Giant and Big books if you wish to make a much larger area for some of your games. The Giant book is a seventeen by twelve grid per page so there are various ways to combine the two mighty tomes together.

Volume 2 like Star Lord's awesome mix takes the idea and knocks it up a notch greatly expanding on the first volume and gives GMs a wealth of new areas for people to explore.
