November 14, 2025 by brennon
Medbury Miniatures recently added their November offerings to Patreon for backers who are looking to get their hands on more 28mm scale Historical wargaming figures. The Medieval theme continues with some great personalities and characters for your skirmishes.
14th Century Knight Half-Swording // Medbury Miniatures
All of the miniatures are 3D Printable digital files from the Medbury Patreon but will also be available as physical figures later on down the line.
The first set of miniatures features two Late 14th Century Knights "Half-Swording", something which has been a popular request from folks looking to get their hands on Medieval warriors. These figures stand a little apart from the other figures in this month's Patreon collection in that they cover the Late 14th Century through to the 16th Century since that was the period when this particular technique was most used.
It's certainly evocative and lends a bit more brutality to the combat that was taking place on the battlefields of the Medieval period. It puts me in mind of the fight scenes in The Last Duel and The King.
Sticking with Knights, we have another pair of personalities for you to check out.
14th Century Knight Characters // Medbury Miniatures
Here, we have two more Knight characters. Medbury has modelled one of them to replicate Jon Snow ripping his sword from his scabbard at the Battle of the Bastards and I think that's awesome! The other is simply lifting his visor so he can get a better look at the fighting. I can imagine an arrow is flying right towards his head...
Next up are the Men At Arms. You could make good use of these as characters leading units in your games like SAGA, The Barons' War, Écorcheurs and beyond.

One of them is cracking his knuckles, getting ready for a full-on fist fight. Another is bellowing out a challenge to someone on the opposite side, perhaps an old foe that they've met in battle too many times.
The Archers aren't to be left out either, with another pack of four miniatures that come armed with bows and crossbows.

All of the miniatures here could be used for the games I mentioned above but they were actually inspired by people playing Malev Da Shinobi's Greathelm, which was on Kickstarter recently. You could use miniatures to represent the handful of figures you need to play a quick, dirty and brutal skirmish game with a Medieval twist.
What do you make of these new Medieval miniatures from Medbury?

The knight holding his helmet open “Where did everyone go?” XD
Either that or “That f*****g useless squire forgot to oil the hinges on my helmet again and now it won’t bloody close”.
That sword seems a bit, um, “bendy”.
