New Rock Trolls & Undead Stomp Into Corvus Belli’s Warcrow
September 2, 2025 by brennon
Corvus Belli previewed the new miniatures coming to their 32mm scale Fantasy wargame, Warcrow this week. We have some towering monsters as well as unique units for a number of different factions within this Fantasy world.
Rock Troll // Warcrow
We start with something BIG in the form of the Rock Troll for the Northern Tribes. The Rock Troll acts as a persistent threat on the tabletop and a hefty tank that can absorb all sorts of damage that comes its way. It can also be useful in breaking the enemy lines, pushing foes aside and giving your other troops and heroes a way to get to well-held objectives.
As well as that, the Rock Troll can also use abilities to change the map to fit what it needs, generating difficult terrain to bog down your enemies. It also has the chance to return even after being slain, which means you'll have to work out just how many resources you pour into bringing this thing down.
It helps that the new miniature is also excellent and really helps to tell a story. I could see this being an excellent centrepiece figure to work on.
Undead Husks
The Scions of Yaldabaoth will be able to reanimate the dead and bring the shambling form of Husks to the tabletop in this set of October releases.
Husks // Warcrow
The big selling point of the Husks is that they are cheap and can flood the battlefield with lots of annoying enemies that will occupy your foes' attention. Even if you cut them down, they are going to be coming back as well, so it fits the theme of a wave of undead rushing towards the enemy.
When combined with the Virtuosos, they become an interesting tactical decision-making opportunity for your opponent. Do they focus on the Virtuosos to stop the waves of Husks, or do you try and forget them and focus on the objective?
Again, the miniatures are looking fantastic and I like that Corvus Belli's designers took the extra step in creating lots of different Husks from various factions so you get the sense that the tendrils of the Scions of Yaldaboath are ever-reaching!
Grim Marauders
If you're looking to put down a threat like the Husks, then how about the Guardians of the Mounds for your Feudom forces?
Guardians of the Mound // Warcrow
This scouting force is good for focusing on an objective and locking it down. Their prowess in battle will make opponent scouts and ambushers think again, whilst also making them great for protecting key characters or objectives.
They can also pressure your opponent with their anti-combo mechanics and the ability to apply the disarmed state. They can also push enemies away so you can make the most of their manoeuvring capabilities.
A brilliant set of miniatures, especially with their grim, skull helmets. I still like the idea of painting them in a bit more of a Dark Fantasy vibe with a less colourful scheme and plenty of blood!
Hegemony of Embersig Action Pack
Finishing things off for the October releases, you will also be able to get your hands on the Hegemony of Embersig Action Pack, which could be a great starting point for games of Warcrow.
Hegemony of Embersig Action Pack // Warcrow
This set comes with a great selection of miniatures that could act as a starting point or a booster for what you've already got. You get three Black Legion Bucklermen, one Black Legion Bucklerman Sergeant, one Frostfire Herald, one War Surgeon, two Pioneers and then the miniatures for Dragoslav Bjelogríc and Lady Télia.
Get your fill of the gorgeous miniatures from Corvus Belli for Warcrow and have a pop at a different Fantasy wargame with an incredibly in-depth world and fascinating, unique figures.

Just one small detail: the Guardians of the Mound are for the Feudom faction, not for the Hegemony of Embersig
Very true – updated!
The rock troll is something else, I just have to say.
