The Perrys Expand Their 28mm Ottoman Army Collection
November 28, 2025 by brennon
Perry Miniatures has added two new packs of miniatures to their 28mm metal range for the Napoleonic Ottoman army. You can now get a pack of Albanians for you to use as part of your armies that cover 1790 to 1815.
Albanian (Arnaut/Arnavut) Infantry Skirmishing // Perry Miniatures
These Albanian troopers were known as the Arnaut or Arnavut Infantry and then later Bashi-Bazouks. There are only two packs as part of this release but they are both dressed in their traditional clothing, the fustanela skirt.
You can get the pack of skirmishing soldiers above to include as part of your armies alongside a command pack, which is equally packed with character.
Albanian (Arnaut/Arnavut) Infantry Command // Perry Miniatures
The Command set comes with a selection of officers who come armed with both melee and ranged weapons. I like the fellow just in from the right with his pistol at the ready, whilst another is tucked into the sash at his waist.
Both of these sets are available for you to pick up now and expand on the already extensive collection of Ottomans from Perry Miniatures.
Do you like these new Albanians?

Well, not sure who the audience of these is. Dont get me wrong, the sculpts are amazing and historically accurate. And they are in fact very suitable for any balcan rebel of the time including the Greek revolution and war of independance. But who will want to wargame Balkans 1790 to 1835?
Also there is already another almost identical range that is probably overlooked https://www.stevebarbermodels.com/store/Greek-War-of-Independence-c36555078
i ve never seen these in the flesh, not even in Greece where there is a somewhat decent historical wargames scene. (let alone Albania or Turkey).
I think the Perrys tend, first and foremost, to sculpt what they want and for themselves. That said, I can see people wanting these for their Imaginations games and skirmishing on the wilder fringes using Sharpe Practice or The Rules With No Name etc.
There’s also the rather nice Brigade Games Napoleonic Ottomans range with Albanians:

those are great! i wasn’t aware of them!
