So, over lunch today I finally plucked up the courage to finish working on the model and whilst it’s nowhere near as good as some folks’ Obi-Wan Kenobi miniatures, I think it looks pretty good (especially considering I hate white so much).

I think the model as a whole has got more of that comic book style that I seem to have deviated into when it comes to model painting and I’m fine with that. I think I’d be happy with him on the tabletop but it is very different moving away to paint these models compared to Burrows & Badgers!

Here are some more angles on him so you can see what the details look like.

I’m contemplating what to do with the base now. I think that I’m going to go with a grassy look which keeps him feeling rather neutral as a character and should fit on all manner of tabletops.

I used to have some of the nice cracked earth texture paint from Games Workshop but that has all gone the way of the dodo. So, I will be basing him up with grass and a bit of tundra so that he looks like he could be fighting on Naboo or somewhere more far-flung.

General Kenobi…. well done. And it’s not even a badger 😉

Did you realise that your hand represents the Tatooine sandy-pink background very well 🙂 Great work and eye for detail… I may have to look into getting a couple of Stat Wars minis to have a go myself. Do they produce Obi-wan Kenobi’s R4?

Wow! It looks amazing? Is it just your hobby to create such models or you work in this sphere? Sometimes I notice some job offers on https://ca.jooble.org/jobs/Fredericton%2C-NB which are connected with that. But it is still hard to find creative job with a worthy wage.
