Zarida V (or as the Mandalorian’s called named it Vode An) is spoken in myths and stories and the planet in Mando’a is named after an ancient war chant Vode An, meaning “Brothers All” it is said to be a temperate world of broad plains and forests, made famous by the Siege of Aruetii A’den, where a force of five hundred Mandalorians from Death Watch took refuge during the siege of Mandalore at the end of the clone wars and for one thousand days and nights fought against The First Legion (who went after the rebels during Order 66) till finally they were betrayed by one of their own within their ranks and everyman was killed thus ending the siege. Upon leaving the planet The First was ordered to destroy the hyperspace beacon and wipe the navigation data to consign the planet to history.

It is said that some members of the remaining clans who survive the purge have taken the signet of the Deathwatch which is a Shriek-hawk, also known as jai’galaar to honour the members of the five hundred, it also mentioned in the history of the clan’s that one day they will return and seek vengeance upon the one who betrayed them. It is said in the tales that Vode An, that the remnants of the Mandalorian fortress still stands and the weapons and armour are still locked away in the vaults waiting for someone to find them.
