I presented a WIP-image many months ago, and now I finaly got around to finish painting good old Darth Vader – the Star Wars icon:

Really well done black and OSL. Was it just a couple touches of grey with a nearly white highlight?

I use Vallejo Game Ink Black for the deep blacks. For mid tones and highlights, I mix in a little bit of white. The intesity of contrast between the shadows, mid tones and highlights as well as the gradient between them are used to define the different materials. The cloth elements (cloak and tunic) have the least contrast between mid tones and highlights and a smooth wide gradient between the two.
