Operation Completed

Loved doing the Rogue Trader Kill Team set. The Nurgle stuff is disgustingly beautiful.

So I decided to finally get stuck into the marines from Dark Millenium (or whatever 6th ed was called). I did the Terminators a while back. I had no sooner finished them than wished I’d done the bases in the Blackstone Fortress style’ ‘Sigh’

Fresh from the basing debarcle of the Dark Angels I decided that my Dark Millenium Chaos Marines would join their brothers from Blackstone Fortress Chapter and verse (get it?). ‘Sigh’.

Well that went …..well. So I liked how quickly and effectively the Black Legion was to paint. Only, I’d run out of Chaos Marines. Or had I? Sure they were 30 years old, single mold plastic. But they were unpainted. Until now that is!

Seeing as I had been painting marines of different flavours, I did some red, blue ones, then yellow, some white, a few black guys, I decided it was the red ones turn again. Terminators were pretty easy last time. How hard could they be? Btw the answer is “Fucking insanely hard!”

So an expansion for Blackstone Fortress came out, only 2 miniatures. Chaos Commisar and a Chaos Ogre. Easy. Seemingly seconds later, another expansion with more chaos stuff in it. What? More characters too? There’s an Ambull expansions too? Ahh for fuck’s sake…..

After a few games of Mordheim with my mates, we were all drunk with nostalgia. A campaign was needed! I quickly assembled a Middenheimer gang. Then of course the whole world went into lockdown….’sigh’
