About the Project

After going to the effort to create a modular Necromunda board i figured it would be a bit amiss if i didn't also post some pictures of the denizens of the Hive. This Project is to show off the Gangs, Bounty Hunters, Mutants and other general scum found deep within the hive cities of Necromunda.

The Electrofisher Deepdivers, the name Electrofisher comes from a Manga series by the name of Blame! created by Nihei Tsutomu. The Electo fishers were a group of humans surviving in a vast ever growing city who's only means of survival were to keep exploring and searching for lost tech and equipment... sound familiar? I did like the original Van Saar paintjob but i wanted to make mine a little darker and experiment with some glow effects for the pipes. To be honest I'm not really happy with the final results, the varnish i used ended up clouding up over the paint job and needed to be fixed, the varnish also created a frost effect on the energy shield. I think I'll get another pack of these in the future and give them another shot since the Van Saar are my gang of choice. The Electrofisher Deepdivers, the name Electrofisher comes from a Manga series by the name of Blame! created by Nihei Tsutomu. Group Shot of the Ferrous Hounds, i quite liked the original colour scheme for the Orlocks so i kept with that but just decided to change the gang name.Group Shot of the Ferrous Hounds, i quite liked the original colour scheme for the Orlocks so i kept with that but just decided to change the gang name.

As usual i painted the bases up with a half and half colour, this time going for the rust mix that i made up in my underhive board project. https://www.beastsofwar.com/project-entry/1308285/

Group shot of the Chem-Hellions, Inspiration for this gang was mainly the colour scheme of Batmans Harley Quinn (original comics not that god awful suicide squad film) so mainly red, black and white with a few hints of green here and there. The name is mainly due to the Eschers being the drug queens of the hive as well as being psychotic hell-raisers.Group shot of the Chem-Hellions, Inspiration for this gang was mainly the colour scheme of Batmans Harley Quinn (original comics not that god awful suicide squad film) so mainly red, black and white with a few hints of green here and there. The Group shot of the Junghein Wreckers, named after a heavy machinery company called Jungheinrich, in keeping with the name i wanted to paint them up in the colour scheme of heavy industrial machinery so lots of yellow, black and red. As a final touch I also wanted a little functional flavour to the bases, each of the circles were masked off at the half-way point, the back half painted with standard black while the front half would have a unique colour or design appropriate to that gang, this would act as both an interesting focal point as well as defining the front and back facing of the miniature.
