Hephaistos Expansion: Finished
The mechanical warriors were undercoated leadbelcher with a spray. They were then washed with reikland fleshshade followed by drybrushes of ironbreaker and runefang steel.
The red areas were painted blood angels red. The blue lightning claws were painted with a 3:1 mixture of apothecary white and talassar blue. The glowing yellow blades were painted with a 3:1 mixture of apothecary white and iyanden yellow.
The areas that would be illuminated by either the claws or blades were drybrushed white scar and then glazed either lamenters yellow or guilliman blue.
That finishes the models assigned to September with over 20 days to go.

Buying clear bases - supplier options
Searching on OnTableTop and Google I found the following companies that sell clear bases.
Sally 4th (from Noble Knight Games) https://www.nobleknight.com/Miniatures-And-Games/Products/Terra-Base-Clear-Acrylic-Miniature-Bases-Sally-4th?PageNumber=3#pf
Green stuff world http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/143-oval
TT Combat https://ttcombat.com/collections/basing/material_acrylic
Fluid 3D workshop https://www.fluid3dworkshop.co.uk/
In the end I went with Fluid 3D workshop. They were the ones with the biggest range of oval bases that allowed me to match the oval bases in Mythic Battles the closest. They also allow you to pick the base thickness (1mm, 2mm, 3mm, or 4mm) and they have by far the most diverse range of clear bases of the four companies that I checked out. They’re also based in the UK so I could pay directly in £ and the shipping should only be 1-2 days.
Terrain set
That’s all the remaining terrain painted, including two of the rock formations that I downloaded from the Mythic Battles website and printed on my 3D printer.
The trees were undercoated mournfang brown and then drybrushed terminus stone. The birds were painted mechanics standard grey. The skulls were painted rakarth flesh. The mushrooms were painted khorne red. The discarded shields were painted screaming bell.
The stones were painted stormvermin fur and then drybrushed longbeard grey.
Everything was finished off with a wash of agrax earthshade.
Villagers
The models were undercoated mournfang brown. The clothes were all then painted randomly using rakarth flesh, xv-88, rhinox hide, or celestra grey.
The skin was painted bugmans glow. The hair was painted either zandri dust or abaddon black.
All the models were washed all over with agrax earthshade.
The water in the pales was painted caledor sky and then washed drakenhof nightshade.
The flames of the torches were painted iyanden darksun then highlighted blazing orange and washed feugan orange. Where the light from the torch would fall on the villager I drybrushed on white scar then glazed with a 50:50 mix of lamenters yellow and bloodletter.
Dionysus: reference images
For this god I’m going to start off using contrast paints and then possibly add some highlights in the conventional way.
Dionysus: finished
The models started with an undercoat of wraithbone.
The flesh areas were painted darkoath flesh. This was a good skin colour but was not pale enough for the effect I wanted with Dionysus so he had a further layer of flayed one flesh followed by a highlight of pallid wych flesh.
The urns were painted wyldwood. The wine was painted blood angels red. Dionysus’ loin cloth was painted taladdar blue.
Dionysus’ wreath of grapes was painted shyish purple then highlighted genestealer purple.
The satyr legs were painted ork flesh and then washed coelia greenshade.
The horns were painted steel legion drab then highlighted tallarn flesh followed by karak stone.
