About the Project
This project is about me getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus. I moved from the United States to New Zealand a couple of years ago and when I come back for Christmas every year, we get in a massive apoc game with my old friends! This year I intended to increase the tank presence of my Krieg army now that the new rules have dropped!

A distraction for a friend
So what do you do when your friend is terrified of a model? Well, you build it and paint it for them obviously!
so a friend of mine picked this up last year and was far too intimidated and overwhelmed to build and paint it. They really really wanted it ready for the apoc game coming up so I put aside my detailing and those never ending bases I still need to finish and I took on the challenge of building and painting a Titan in a weekend.
This wasn’t my first. A few years ago I completed both my reaver and warlord so this appeared to be a far easier task. So I set about pinning and clipping many resin bits and took most of the day to get her built from the ground up
Fortunately my friend wanted to pitch in so I had them back coat it and spray it silver in preparation for the painting day to follow.
After this I set about speed painting a Titan. I only had one day to complete it so we decided the interior is out and a 90% airbrush job was in!
I took on the task of moderately matching my color scheme on the blues while my friend took over the task of painting the trim. A quick airbrush of black in the recesses of the silver gave the appearance of grim and 4ish hrs later we had a finished Titan! Ready to stand alongside the 3rd armoured division in the coming battle. She will have to wait for an even larger game before she can stand in the shadows of her kin. But for now. She will certainly be the lord of war for the imperial side!
A project repaired
I noticed I never showed of the finished version of this guy. I had finished this about two years ago when I initially started this blog but I hadn’t updated it. With shipping and storage the old girl had taken a bit of a beating with a few parts coming apart at the seams. Fortunately though, all the parts were there and a few light super glue applications later she was was a good and new! Fortunately it only fell apart at the joints so no parts actually broke! Who here likes filling in resin with green stuff? (Not this guy) anyway while I was repairing, I decided to add a few details such as decals to the crew and the real scale brass shell casings to the gun decks.
Looking forward to finally getting this model in a game for the upcoming apocalypse! I also seem to be able to only post a few images otherwise I get an error message over and over so forgive the limited number of pics!
Medusa complete
Medusa carriage is now complete. I do still need to add the “3rd” decals to their shoulders but the sheets have yet to arrive so I’ll call it done for now.
nice to have this guy out of the way. This should complete my artillery battery for the apoc game. On to 30 bases to complete and at least one other small vehicle! Onwards to the apocalypse!
Comically slow
Decals and dirt
Like the dead, in silence we shall rise!
Another one “bites” the dust
And finished. Another leman Russ for the third:
He lives!
Well we all know how it goes. Life, job, and taxes always take us away from our beloved projects.
but I return with more tanks!
I’ve had a rather productive Sunday afternoon and completed most of the weathering for this side of the leman Russ conquer. However I’m a little worried I was a bit heavy handed with the weathering powder. Oh well once it’s on there is not much you can do about it. Hopefully it won’t be too jarring.
Repaint
Distraction
Tanks a lot!
This time, while I did freehand the regimental marking. I used decals to hopefully tie this tank in more with some of the firsts ones I did in my army many years ago
Keeping it going
Well now that I completed something large, I felt it only right to switch to the other end of the spectrum and paint the imperiums smallest tank.
I may need to take a break for a few days now, my hand is cramped from all the white highlights ?
And paint brush down!
“ emperor, grant my enemies mercy, for I shall not.”
Whew! I think I actually made it! It’s three am here right now so I think it’s time for bed, but it’s complete!
thanks again guys for such an amazing weekender!
Turret three
I’ve never painted freehand on a curved surface before. This was certainly a new challenge
