Adventures in the Frozen City

Nyarav is the captain of the guard of one the towns on the road to Felstad. The Mayor of the town heard of Saraal’s expedition when he arrived with his companions. Not believing the wizard’s tales of the end of world he ordered Nyarev to join the party to find out what they were really up to.

Odoi retired from battle long ago  and like many dwarves retired to a solitary life mining in the hills. Odoi chose his mining site poorly and his income and wealth was lost.Saraal found Odoi drunk in the corner of a tavern. He knew him from those distant times and promised him the riches to be found in Felstad. Odoi sobered up and polished up his armour and joined the party.

The foolish say he is the deposed King of a faraway kingdom but most say he is a mercenary that has seen too many battles and stay out of his way. He is a formidable warrior and Saraal is grateful for his assistance.

Nogoon is Saraal’s apprentice. In order to stop Saraal’s repeated requests for help Nogoon’s father the Elven king offered up his fifth son. Nogoon had no particular skills or talents that his father valued but has now grown to be a trusted companion under Saraal’s tutelage.

Saaral is looking for an ancient artefact that he says will save the world. The only problem is that he has been looking for so long he can’t remember what it is. He has managed to convince a mixed band to follow him on his quest to Felstad to continue his search there.

I wanted a very snowy but quick base. I put a quick coat of AP Spaceship Exterior over the base then glued some white stones I bought along time ago to it. I then used GW Valhallan Blizzard all over the base. I finally finished the outside of the base with a couple coats of Instar Artic White mixed with a little AP Matt White.

That’s two bands of adventurers now painted. I now need to start basing. First job is to fill gap between figure base and actual base. I’m using some Wilkos exterior filler to do this.
