Dragon Belly
Trying some colors on the bellies to give the Ryokan some differentiation. We’ll see when it dries. Besides that, more varnish, which completes Pirate Shock Troopers, Horats and Ferroxi. Included the spreadsheet of progress. Getting there!

Got the speedpaint mega kit this week, so had to try out one and went with Sand Golem on the Ryakan. Nice enough start. Did some base work and varnishing of the previous week's stuff as well, and have to come up with some complementary colors.Shock Troopers vs. Ferroxes
Clean up on the Ferroxes and Pirate Shock Troopers today, and work on the Ryokan bases. The former are Good Enough™ for the varnish pile (well, barring me noticing something I desperately want to fix in the morning light). The latter are probably next to work on? Got the Speedpaint Mega Set, so they might be fun to test those on. Still waiting on the flesh tone set, so the regular pirates and ruffians continue to wait. I do have the Porigata and Shengrylla I could work on, though…
Beware the Jade Hizageri
Did another layer of Matt White over the Purple Tone gloss on my white ferrox, and finally somewhat happy with him. Need to pick out noses and eyes and off we go.
Picked out some gun bits in metallics on the Pirate Shock Troopers, and freehanded some skulls onto their knees (badly). Some clean-up to go, but the Jade Hizageri shall be greatly feared…
Ace of Base
Mostly base work again. However, did work on the white wolf, and I didn't like the brown undertone. Threw some purple tone on, and I'll build it back up a bit and see if that's better.Don't Sleep, I Know What You're Paintin'...
Didn't sleep at all last night so was exhausted. Did some base work, and messed around with a white wolf. Not sure about this. Maybe with a blue tone wash? Red Letter Day
Eh, just did some work on the Pirate Shock Troopers and the Ferroxes. Dark Tone wash and some speedpaint touch up on the former, some basic color blocking on the latter.Horat? So That's Done...
Few differences from last night. Finished the bases off, and the Horats are ready for varnish. Probably Pirate Shock Trooper detail tomorrow.
