In Sci-fi, Every Color Can Be A Skin Tone
Tired tonight, slept poorly, so kinda half-assed it. Still, the Ryokan and Primitive arms are varnished, and the new Warbots primed.
For the actual painting table, I did some skin on some of my ruffians. Almost went with Jasper on the right one, then realized the one eye gave me opportunity for a more interesting color.
Buggin' Forward
Good day off for progress. Finished one Porigata, finished blocking out the Ruffian, varnished the Primitives arms and the Ryokan with a first coat, put a layer of primer on the new Warbots. Good stuff.
Ruffians Blue, Beetle Black
Finished off the Ruffian bases and the wasteland sand on the Porigata base around the rock.
Also tried out black with the jade shell on the Porigata. I like it, just have to figure out what goes where on the model, and do the rock before I do much more.
As for the test Ruffian, I like how the skin and hair look, and decided to do blue for the pants as another Ruffian unifying element. Ruffian blue, Bounty Hunter green, Pirate black and Pirate Shock Trooper red. Should help with IDing the human trouble.
Oh, Yes. Speedpaint Orange Over Grey Primer Is Different From White...
More tonight than most of this week. First, put some orange back on the repaired and primed lizardman…then realized that it was dark because my brush on primer is grey and my rattle can was white…have to do something about that.
Besides that, some dark tone to advance the bases, and trying out the mocha skin tone on one of my ruffians. Curious to see how it looks dry under sunlight tomorrow.
