About the Project
I bought a 3D Printer mostly because of this project but with all the amazing stuff out there I drifted away from this particular project. It's built system agnostic but it's compatible with Epic. I'm starting out with Iron Warriors to mirror my regular Horus Heresy force but I might branch out later down the road.

18 Bases of Terminators with Command
The quickest to paint was definitely the vehicles. I wasn't sure how to base them but 40mm Round bases I think was the best choice.

Very rough pictures but it's finished. It's also dark, and I'm sick so stick around for much better pictures in the next week or so. I think I'll do some more Terrain, I'm thinking of Blood Angels or Imperial Fists for opponents but at this point I just want as little metallic areas as possible.

This took all up about two-three casual days and was pretty relaxing. Terrain Part Two
The original pieces, some 3D Printed Dawn of War Style bunkers, the bottle caps will have some AA Guns put on them once I get some more resin.
I forgot to account for the bases when scaling the terrain but I think the scale isn't too bad
You can see that once the bases are side by side the terrain looks a lot more in scale

The glare from this is really bad buy you can see the evolution from MDF, Black Spray and Neutral Grey Drybrush
The Barriers are rescaled Road Barriers from Cults
MDF bases and Hard Card Buildings inspired by the buildings on the gaming tables of my early days playing 40K
The big buildings are not on MDF bases but on something similar
The offcuts were glued to the base to simulate a floor underneath the rubble. I got the idea from a friend of mine many years ago who did the same thing with some LOTR Terrain
I used Geek Gaming Scenics Desert Basing Mix to simulate a bunch of rubble and destruction. I went back and forth on using this stuff and if I did it again I would mix a bit more finer sand in the mix but I'm very happy with how they turned out. 
Sprayed with Chaos Black to not only give a base layer but seal the basing mix

Then another 50/50 mix of white and drybrush
Start to finish, black, grey and 50/50 mix. Everything gets a pure white drybrush but that's for next timeTanks Part Two
