Furnish Your RPG’s With Dungeon Accessories From Dungeon Lair
February 7, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
We all know that the devil is in the details, which is why I think this Kickstarter is so cool. The Dungeon Accessories Kickstarter from Dungeon Lair not only offer a fantastic amount of furniture, details and critters for your dungeon or castles, but they are pre-painted!
These sets are pre-painted resin and ready to use out of the box- just the thing to help add atmosphere and details to your adventuring.
The project is already well funded with a ton of stretch goals unlocked including all sorts of must-haves like..
...treasure chests, rats, table & chairs, various weapons, columns, a crypt, urns, and lots more!
Will your dungeon be getting some new scatter?

This would give a nice 3D touch to my Myth games!
good for any dungeon.
Everything looks very nice… IMHO this KS has several red flags.
1. unknown/ startup / first project creator (they did try a similar KS earler, but cancelled that one),
coupled with
2. stretch goals are free if you go in for $40 or more, all of them as far as i can see. many strech goals. that makes a lot of extra, free product to be made and painted.
add on what I think is indicative of unrealistic, wishful thinking and lack of due dilligence:
3. the delivery date set in May this year. (wishful especially when you add the stretch goals and already gone way past target funding.)
4. Will the product actually be painted to the level shown in pictures? At that price? Sounds too good to be true. Painting well takes time, which costs money. Especially in the USA by presumably skilled painters (albeit cottage industry workers) and not in a low cost third world factory/sweat shop.
Probability is high for a severe dissappointment here.
5. a low, far too low shipping cost, Only USD 10 for shipping a great many resin pieces worldwide?
The pieces might not weigh all that much but how will they be packed? Properly will mean each piece will need to be wrapped or something individually which is bulky, and bulk is expensive. What is the alternative? Jumbled together in a bag? What about scratching the paint jobs and breakages then? and if they ship the strech goals seperately, this will double the cost of shipping.
I truly do not think this is a scam, but the creators might very well be biting off a lot more than they can chew here, It’s really all the free strech goals that most probably will be the iceberg to this project’s Titanic here, I am concerned they might find themselves running out of funds long before fulfilment.
Pledger beware.
