DOOMSONG Thou Shalt Not Suffer The Wycce - Caesar Ink

DOOMSONG: Thou Shalt Not Suffer The Wycce // Caesar Ink

For those uninitiated to the world of Doomsong, it is a Roleplay Macabre set against a world on the cusp of a Biblical apocalypse. The game world draws inspiration from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as well as Medieval folk horror and European myth. With this new standalone campaign for Doomsong, Thou Shalt Not Suffer The Wycce will feature gorgeous art and design alongside excellent, story-driven mechanics and a perfectly twisted tale.

If you'd like to see Doomsong in action, you can check out a game we played with two of the creators here...

Let's Play: Doomsong - New Horror Tabletop Roleplaying Game!

Thou Shalt Not Suffer The Wycce puts you in the boots of the Wyccefinders' Guild, who have been tasked with rooting out heresy in the Kingdom of Cocytus. Strange miracles are being performed, and whispers abound that a saint has been reborn. With such glorious tidings coming from the lips of the common folk, why then is famine creeping its way across the land? I think it's up to you to find out!

Included within Thou Shalt Not Suffer The Wycce are thirty-plus new and unique creatures that your players will come up against, including the likes of the deadly Cyteaen Hounds. If that wasn't bad enough, you'll also have to face down bloodthirsty dryas, armoured dwarrowsites and cunning slatterspiles! That all sounds gloriously deadly.

As well as that, you'll have seven investigations spread across seventy adventure locations where you'll be hunting down miracle workers to disprove their claims, engaging with NPCs, exploring new landscapes and facing various obstacles in your path to root out heresy.

Design sits at the forefront of everything that Caesar Ink do with Doomsong and so these are all presented in a double-page spread so it's easy for the Games Master to reference at a given moment when running the adventure. This Games Master-friendly design follows through into great options, like a way for you to generate smaller villages that you might stop off at, plus ways for you to integrate Doomsong into a Guild Marches campaign. This allows a drop-in and drop-out style approach to campaigns and means that you can handle larger groups of players as part of a Wyccefinders' Guildhall.

Trials - Doomsong

At the core of all of this is an intertwined campaign that blends together these mysteries into one grand finale, a complete story where you, as the players, have a direct influence over how it plays out. Be the best Wyccefinder you can be and make sure the world doesn't descend into chaos!

As you might imagine, when it comes to being Wyccefinders, you'll also be able to put unfortunates on trial! You can see some of how that works in the image above, which is similar in design to how combat works in Doomsong, making use of familiar ideas and mechanics but with a new twist.

Pledge Options

As you might have guessed, Caesar Ink has gone all out when it comes to what's available as part of this new campaign. You have options for digital and physical versions of the rules, as well as some great accessories and helpful aids which can enhance your experience at the tabletop.

Caesar Ink do everything possible to make Doomsong as luxurious an experience as possible, with a great amount of effort going into the design of their books as well as all of the accessories that you can pick up. Everything from the maps to the mysterious Famine's Candle is crafted with a lot of care and attention, meaning that you're getting a great relic to sit on your bookshelf as well as a fun roleplaying game.
