Taiga Miniatures are going to be working with the awesome Gavriel Quiroga to bring miniatures from his original Warpland TTRPG to life on the tabletop. This Warpland Kickstarter is going to be coming soon and we've had a neat look at some of the figures they have in the works!

Barbarian - Warpland // Taiga Miniatures

I guess I should probably start with what Warpland is! Gavriel Quiroga is the creator of this game, most well-known before this for the critically-acclaimed Neurocity. With Warpland, you'll be diving into an original Dark Sci-Fantasy setting full of desolate landscapes, decaying cities and the haunting remains of ancient civilisations.

With that in mind, Warpland (and therefore the miniatures from Taiga) offers a fascinating and original world where Science Fiction blends with Fantasy, unlocking all sorts of great design potential that wouldn't look out of place in a retro movie from the 70s or 80s with muscle-clad actors battling through dusty quarries whilst ramshackle but slightly psychedelic set design wobbles away in the background!

Warpland is a setting that can be used with whatever system you like but it also features an optional rules-light classless 2d6 system, which is included in the book. It is designed to be intuitive, dynamic and fast-paced.

As you might have guessed, this theme then carries through into the awesome miniatures we're seeing from Taiga. They have sculpted a variety of miniatures to represent the heroes, villains and monstrous foes that you'll come up against throughout the setting. This is a world of tribes, hordes, mutants and cults and that is represented throughout the miniatures from Taiga!

Warlock - Warpland // Taiga Miniatures

As you can see from the sculpts that we're showing off here, they are a great blend of the fantastical with a touch of Sci-Fi. You can see the Fantasy in the characters above but how about slipping in a bit of that Sci-Fi with the likes of the Technokrat?

Technokrat - Warpland // Taiga Miniatures

The range from Taiga will include character miniatures that represent the various classes and archetypes from the game as well as NPCs and plenty of creatures from the setting. This blends nicely into the weirdness of The Realm, complete with all of its myriad mutations, dark gifts, flaws and more that can make your characters your own in this world of post-apocalyptic savagery!

The Watchers - Warpland // Taiga Miniatures

All of the miniatures as part of this campaign have been sculpted by professional artists, working from initial concept to final model, and no A.I. has touched the process at all. The miniatures themselves are going to be available both as STL files and as physical miniatures, meaning that this project is accessible to those with a 3D printer and those who prefer their miniatures done and ready to use!

Blind Lurkers - Warpland // Taiga Miniatures

I think one of my favourite miniatures from the collection is for Zandor the Cruel, who feels like he's going to be one of the main villains you end up facing during your adventures. I also have a soft spot for that Technokrat that we saw earlier. I am a sucker for a world which blends together Sci-Fi with Fantasy and this fellow fits the bill nicely.
