Mad Robot Miniatures have previewed a new and well armed sci-fi trooper, the Auslander.
This looks like an interesting new sci-fi alien who could be used in many different games. For instance he might make a good mutant in a Chaos force.

I hope this is a rough WIP – right now he looks awkward, like a head-arms-torso piece has been placed on top of an actual humanoid figure. It’s as if a man is wearing a top-of-body-shaped helmet. The guns look like modern firearms rather than something futuristic as well.

The anatomy for having a double ball and socket joint would have to be totally different to simply stacking one on top of the other imho

Needs a bit more work from the looks of it.

For me the current modelling has the figure with too straight a back and the centre of gravity looks too high
He would need an extra set of shoulder muscles and imho the torso would be bulkier as would probably need extra chest muscles
I can see where you’re coming from on that. I’ve posted some newer updates on the blog http://www.madrobotminiatures.blogspot.com/. Might not be where you where hoping quite yet but they better than what’s shown up top.
