Gale Force Nine Tease Galactic Warzone Rebel Outpost Terrain
March 31, 2026 by brennon
Gale Force Nine continue to work with the folks from War Scenery to bring us more for the Battlefield in a Box range! This time around, you're going to be able to get your hands on the Galactic Warzone range and the ace-looking pre-painted Rebel Outpost.
Galactic Warzone: Rebel Outpost // Gale Force Nine
We've only got a preview at the moment but as you can see, Gale Force Nine has taken more of the 3D designs by War Scenery and turned them into ace kits that would be very suitable for a game like Star Wars: Legion. As noted already, all of this terrain comes pre-painted and ready to go out of the box so you just need to slap it down onto a tabletop and you're good to go.
The selection of terrain will be available from next month (May) and come with the Defence Turrets, Particle Cannons, Hunter Turrets, Shield Generator, Assault Bunker, Ion Cannon, the Trench Lines and the Scatter Terrain. A solid set for someone looking to replicate something like Hoth on the tabletop.
It has also been noted by Gale Force Nine that select stores will also get the gaming mat that you see below the boxes. So, check with your Friendly Local Gaming Store to see if they're going to be offering it.
Could this be the themed terrain you need to get into Star Wars: Legion?

Oh boy, some of the designs are flying awfully close to the sun XD The “particle cannons” and “defense turrets” (defense/defence is that a spelling error on the screenshot?) especially. I’m not sure if these will sell. Depends on the price I guess. Was it Microart Studios that did something similar at the beginning with SW:L in hard foam? Didn’t see many of those on the tables.
These are clones…
The price of the Battlefield in a Box stuff is usually pretty good. Got a bunch of the Not-DoW stuff for 40K and it was very reasonable
Defense might be the wrong spelling used in the land of the orange man.
In Canada, it’s “defence”.
They were really good. Hard foam is great for terrain as it’s so resilient.
Idk, I had some of it and had mixed feelings about it. Most were fine, if a little lacking in detail while other pieces were far softer and became worn down, full of dents and softened edges.
definitely close to the sun with those designs.
To quote a Kevin Smith film “George Lucas is gonna sue” might try grab a couple before that happens though a I am am working on a hoth board
If I put those out on my front yard, it would be the set for Hoth today. 15-20cm of fresh gross snow falling. Yay…
The description from a webshop says they all come with different amounts of magnets. the Shieldgenerator says 32 magnats! The pictures don´t give the impression of interchangable parts…so maybe its for better storage to assemble/disassemble fast?!? Anyone seen/heard about that?
