more terrain for my deadzone, yes please
new time watcher of TheBeastsofWar but loving the show
Hi guys ! Always a pleasure to see you again on air !

If you haven’t try it, we’ve played some games of “Heroes of Normandie” for the D-Day, I especially recommand this game !
As huge fan of DeadZone (and because of you, Warren !), I’m waiting for the Ruined Quadrant.
And because my friend and I love BoW, here in France, a little cameo in my site :
What a pleasure to make some DzC with the Weekender on TV
Have a great gaming week-end, guys !
Let me win,please!
holy crap, that’s a lot of nerd lego!
My summer is pretty much booked already, so I “contribute” this idea for “fair use.” I’ve been re-playing through a ported emulator of the old shareware FPS “Doom.” How about someone builds a Deadzone Terrain model of one of the classic levels of Doom? Ep1, Mission 1 (Hangar)? What gamer on earth hasn’t played this level 1,000 times, and wouldn’t recognize it? One space marine figure at the beginning, re-paint a bunch of other marines repainted to be demonically possessed. I don’t know where you’d buy the demon figures, but with the modular, clickable (non-glued) terrain, you could even put in the opening doors and hidden doors.
now it would be really cool if you could sneak sensors in the terrain so when your mini hits a certain spot music or sound effect plays (cue burbling demon sound), or maybe just a rule when your character reaches a certain point on the board you have to play the music the music or make the sound effect yourself or your character takes a hit? Hows that for interactive/living terrain?
Funny, I see the Gorka-Morkanaut from completely contradicting view: I’ve always liked my army to be neat and organized, with minimal battle damage, rust, and those sort of things. I immediately liked Gorka-Morkanaut because they’re, while still looking ragged, not as rag-tag as the Orks used to be.
Those gorka and morkanauts still remind me of the recycling bins at our local Sainsburys
Another awesome weekender. As an old fart with a deep love of orks I have noticed the style change of them over the years. I really miss the days of the Mad mob and the first plastic orks box set. I have fond memories of converting the entire box into a giant mad mob, with some really silly mini’s. One day I will get around to taking a few pictures to post them on the site.
Great idea with the news letter guys, I’ll sign up right now.
Love those Orks!!!!
Mmm what to build? So many choices.
Battlezones look very awesome! I’m planning on doing mine like the interior of the Nostromo!
I have an idea – but it is a bit mad, even for me…
On the Battlezone competition…What’s a dataslate?
Just a page of rules for an ‘Item’ in this case a piece of Terrain 🙂
Cheers
Sad news, the Leviathans game appears to be dead in the current form as seen in the latest update in Monsters in the Sky. They are looking into changing it into a X-Wing type format.
Anyway, I’m still considering the backstage free week. My problem is I know I want the annual subscription, and I know it will make me spend more money by showing me all the things I fancy.
for meganobz I would love to use the incursion (secrets of the third reich) American Ape suits.
as for the deadzone terrain ive got a box full I got with the kickstarter, just waiting for my extra connector sprues to come through then I am going to go to town on them
Pleased to hear there’ll be some sculptor coverage coming :). I don’t think GW minis have been quite the same since they made the shift towards doing everything in plastic. The design philosophy has shifted a bit and I tend to agree with Justin that they’re aimed at a slightly younger audience, which they can be now they’re plastic and not metal.
If your going to do sculptors then you should try and get Tom Meier to do an interview, though might be hard him being in the states
If we’re doing requests then I’ve got a list as long as my arm lol. Tom Meier is definitely on it. The man who invented sculpting as far as I’m concerned.
Another great weekender guys!
Oooooh! All that terrain looks fantastic. Saw it in Deadzone but there’s something about the freedom of putting it in 40k (or similar). Made me miss Necromunda again though, sad face.
I agree with the comments about the GW design direction. What about that Taurox, eeeww. Sometimes it feels like they’re becoming separate parts of the larger company. The rules don’t match the fluff, the models don’t match each other, and the codexes aren’t consistent. In that sense it really does feel orky. A bunch of different guys bolting things on to 40k without restraint or regard for others work.
Oops, that turned into a rant rather quickly. Quick, send me free stuff so i’ll shut up!
Sounds like GW has a communication problem 😛
Max Mini Green alliance and Mantic Battlezone terrain…. GorkaMorka FTW!!
I loves it, i DO!!
also on the newsletters, when i read the first one, in my head i heard, ‘The best newsletters in the world’ @warzan Says, then i hear @lloyd say ‘Probably’…..
Never liked the stompa – great show though guys. Lego!
Yum, terrain
I need dis!
Aww, it’s miniature terrain, becoming an evil villain is so expensive, I thought I’d caught a break. Me sitting inside some Mantic terrain just isn’t intimidating enough?
Wonder if they’d give me some tips on running a kickstarter….
Meganobs could allways be take 3-10 a unit. I used to play the 6 in a buggy.
They don’t seem to have changed much, which is a bit of a shame, since they really suffer against powerfists.
I love the mantic terrain sets! Hope i win this time…
Must… build… walls!
Everyone loves giveaways.
I am sad to see looted vehicles leaving the Ork codex, but I don’t see it as big a deal as most. Yes unbound, and allied lists would work but why do we have to only look at this. Orks have trukks and Battlewagons, why do I have to use GW official model for this. Why can’t my Battlewagon be a looted leman russ or devil fish. There is no unwritten rule stopping me from doing this. So……..”You may take our looted wagons but you will never take my scratch builds!!!!”
The current focus on Orks is great! I like the Kromlech Orc Juggernauts – definitely a great alternate choice for Mega Knobz models.
The whole 40k unbound is a Pandora’s box to me. So much amazing potential and yet as much scope for ridiculously silly army compositions! 😛
All in all I guess it is…good?
As for the MaxMini ‘Green alliance’ kickstarter – sold! Totally what I always wanted for an Orc/Ork/Orx/Awwwrk army.
mmmmmm modular….
quick google search – looted carnifex, looted monolith, looted tau piranha, looted grav tank, looted raider… list is endless!
Love the orks as a faction, and the people who play them for me at least typify the quirkiness and humour, the imagination that keeps the hobby fresh.
Gotta get me some bolt action orks. “Tiger tanks supported by SS? Pah. WAAAAAAAAGH!!!!’
The Battlezone panels give me an interesting idea… been wondering how to do something like this for a while. Just think inside-out, upside-down!
AMAZING
More Orks are always great to see
we always need more mantic scenery tiles XD there are enever enough
After seeing the rules for the Summer terrain challenge, and imagine the horde of subscribers rushing out to buy battlezones terrain, i believe there will only be one winner of the terrain challenge. And that is Robbie Renton as seen in the link below 😉
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1TTN-Ev2KI#t=55
I, for one, bow down to our new mantic overlord 😉
I realise it was a slip of the keyboard so please don’t think I’m mocking you, I’m honestly not. I am very amused at the thought of an evil Ronnie twin who looks exactly like him except for having a black goatee lol
Sounds like a Star Trek episode
I actually thought the scenery was the best bit inside the deadzone box. I have some ideas for this one, and even I may be able to find time to get it done before september.
On the subject of headswaps for Orks, I’ve always though the best ones were the russian army ones from (I think) puppets war.
The Kromlech models are just stunning!! They’re mean, bulky, very orkish…
You guys are going nuts on the summer challenge and it’s just great.
Can’t wait to see some pictures.
I just love the Mantic terrain cant wait to get my hands on some of it.
Hi folks.
Just a quick comment on what Warren said in defence of GW.
If GW plc mission statement is ‘..making the best minatures in the world…’
Why not just focus on improving quality, consistency and value for money like all the other minatures companies do?
Rather than threatening all the smaller companies and fan sites with legal action , if they provide access to ‘alternatives’ or ‘enhancements’ to GW product ?
I would also like to point out the irony of declaring the circumvention of the restrictions enforced on the 40k rules due to ‘business think’ with ‘Unbound’ as ‘ good’.
The part of the hobby where artistic creativity is supposed to be the main driver.
The deep and rich background has suffered attempted heavy handed restriction based on what physical product GW can sell to the customer base.
And the place for objective restriction to provide structure for functional effect.
Writing rules suitable for random pick up games. Is modified to allow detrimental loss of function to maximize sales potential.
GW plc seem to be the only company JUST wanting customers to buy what they make.
The other companies seem to want to JUST make what their customers want to buy.
Eg
The excellent alternative green skin models look awesome!
And Mantic terrain system is just the best idea this century IMO!
The terrain looks pretty awesome 😀
Orks BS2? Holy mama that’s harsh.
Yes I’m out of touch – before anyone pours too much scorn, I’ve not played WH40k in ~20 years.
I gave a try to free 7 days and its nice but… I’m still in half way to decide – all content is great but its very difficult to search stuff, its not very well organized. like there is no buttons for hobby lab and other sections, how to find stuff?
I watched the Giraldez interview in two parts. When I went to find it to finish it off, it wasn’t easy to dig it out. Bear in mind I knew exactly what I was looking for too.
Yes it could be better!
Don’t be afraid to contact us when somthing is not working and we can fix it for you and everyone else too.
I’ll bring this up during our team huddle on Tuesday 🙂
The hobbylab videos can be found under Hobby -> Painting and Hobby Homepage. Could be nice to have them in a separate category though.
I shouldn’t enter this, but I will anyway.
I Neeeds it!
same here i can always use a extra bit of terrain
Come on guys, if you can’t decide between monthly or weekly newsletter, then split the difference and go fortnightly!
Nice video =)
love the show guys, keep it up.
Great, I was looking at getting a small bit ( cos we hobby types do things in small amounts ) ruined DZ terrain to do something for AVP. Maybe the Alienafied controle room for starters. A small 2×2.
Ive no idea how to go about doing any Gigerish terrain at the minute but when did that ever stop anybody?
Cheerio
want it !:D
You know what I love about modern life ?
Smart TV , it means you can lie in bed and watch The Weekender with a bacon buttie and a cuppa !
Better than heading to a shop for Wargames Illustrated or White Dwarf !!
Hey Warren, if you’re running some of your 40k campaign inside buildings or space ships have you downloaded the free ‘zone mortalis’ rules from the forge world website. They would work perfectly with that terrain.
Nope that just wen’t onto the list Thank you for that and keep the 40/30K suggestions coming to help us get back into the loop!
Games workshop ruined warhammer when they allowed any army to have bound monsters and units, looks like they are doing the same with 40k. there is no skill in making your army deal with the short comings of your chosen race. It is a shame and I for one am loosing my interest in a game I have played for many years. Other game systems are out there and do not pander to the ” win at all costs “, and ” there must be NO weakness to my army “
I really do love the battlezones terrain, gotta make sure you manage your amount of connectors well though for it.
If I am going to do what I have in my head for the summer challenge I could be with getting some free stuff
Weekender yey! Hope i win ze prize
Got some Deadzone pieces to build with and the landing pad will be on it’s way soon, looking forward to building something with it all.
I’m not a great fan of Orks – like my troops disciplined and steady rather than unruly and prone to infighting. However, these Ork models look really characterful.
The thing with the new (especially the bigger) GW kits is that they’re a bit on/off. Some of them are marvelous, like the Vampire Counts throne thing. I don’t play undead, but I would still want that kit just to build and paint it. Other stuff, Lord of Skulls heading the parade, just seem to be going overboard on a certain theme and kill the character of the model in the process.
Actually the only 40K flyer I really like is the Ork one. I play Tau, but I wouldn’t consider buying a Sunshark/Razorshark. Then I’d much rather pay a bit extra to get the Forgeworld Barracuda.
And in some cases the models aren’t actually that bad, but they just don’t seem to fit the 40K universe. The Dread Knight for example looks a bit too manga the way it’s constructed and functions. It would probably fit better in an earlier century of the Infinity universe.
After reading through the Imperial Fists Codex, which is basically a Centurion promotional brochure, I had another look at the models. And viewed in isolation they actually don’t look that bad. It’s more the idea of super-strong power armoured guys in more poer armour sounds too improbable.
Luckily we can always pick and choose, kitbash or look at alternative models. Even more so with the new force organisation options.
Very nice terrain for Infinity. And lots of it to make a table. However, I deffinatelly agree with you about new GW sculpts. For me this is one of the reasons why I stopped playing 40K. The last minis I liked were Warp Talons and Maulerfiend… not because I am Chaos player of course 🙂
I thought the new ork codex was going on pre-order today… I’m being teased!
I may be “acquiring” Doctor Dave’s idea of an Orc Bolt Action force. Those minis look amazing.
Can’t wait to see what people come up with for the terrain competition…
Just love the summer challange! I have to take you up on that one. Now I only have to figure out what to build….
Love me some Deadzone Terrain! Pick me! Pick Me!
Poor Justin is always picked on lol! love that terrain!
WAAAAAAGH! More Orks is always a good thing! Some “Orkified” buildings would be awesome!
The Deadzone terrain is amazing. It truly is a nerd lego.
Great video though don’t you have more to talk about then 40k? I get it just came out, and your ramping up for a new series on its but it seems to of taken over a lot of the weekend the past month or so.
love
e mantic deadzone stuff did the kickstarter but need way more please
Let’s win this prize!
I’M excited to see what terrain people put together for the Summer terrain challenge. Good idea!
Terrain lego….think that will be enough to get my grandson to give me a hand with a build
OH MAN! That Sci-fi Urban Quadrant would be perfect for a Judge Dread Hab Block vertical terrain board!
Looking forward to all the new terrain boards you guys have made/been making. Still looking for the coverage/info of the Star Wars game you guys came up with and showed a few months ago.
I love it i realy need more buildings
Awesome episode this week guys, as always. Thanks!
What with already having Necromunda and Deadzone, and expecting some Across the Dead Earth and Mercs stuff later this year, I have to say – yes please!
don’t forget the mantic terrain is also great for infinity. I wish the rest of the deadzone kickstarter would ship as I want the ruined bits before I start to build any of it
Mantic have cracked it with this stuff – have loads, want more 🙂
Oh, and the looted Carnifex – pure genus
mmmmmmmmmmm terrain.
drooool
Weekender, better than coffee.
The Battlezone terrain by Mantic looks awesome. Hoping to win it, to get my Infinity and Deadzone terrain! I wish I could grab this for my birthday on June 11th. Busy assembling Dreadball Kalamarin and Z’zor teams. Hopefully post photos on Beasts of War.
Plus the Orc minis from Dwarf Kings Hold. Looking at getting some Gamezone Miniatures Dark Elves for a Twilight Kin army.
Looking at getting the Deadzones Marauders, Rebs and Corporation squads. For my Infinity fix, I think going for the Nomads. I wish I grabbed the offer on Wayland Games for the Kromlech Orc Greatcoats squad. Shiny syndrome in overdrive!
The only complaint I would have about the deadzone terrain is that it can be somewhat difficult to unclip without breaking half the connectors, I’d advise anyone using it to get a couple of extra sprues of connector clips. Of course this could be just me and my incredible lack of patience and manual dexterity.
Great terrain, would surely fit well with my terrain accumulated over time…
Great show guys! I have to agree with Warrens’ other half. There is nothing wrong with the Gork & Morkanaut, but they are too computer designed for my army. I’ll take a look at the kits and make my own versions. They are a great starting place for a build.
Free terrain please!!
Sweet! I need walls. That is so cool.
love you guys
Im not much of a ork man. But this looks cool. And the terrain is excellent. Cant wait for wave 2 of the ks to be shipped
Outstanding terrain from a great company for an excellent skirmish game.
Another fun show! I love the Battlezones… Great look if a little fiddly to get together. I heard the new ones work much better than the ones I got with the Deadzone kickstarter. As for the newsletter I can’t believe that’s a robo-bow!!! It works great! Keep it up guys!
The Orcs in WWII reminded me of a book I read as a teenager. It is the amusing story of fantasy Orcs turned into 20th century soldiers with machine guns. The book is Grunts by Mary Gentle. Give it a read if you want a zany tale.
Great show again!
The Battlezones system is fantastic. I hope Mantic keep creating new sections for the system. A pack of signature panels would be great to add to the existing core sections.
I’ve seen pictures of that battlezone terrain and it looks wonderful. I’d love to check it out firsthand -especially since I have been building a collection of sci-fi terrain in recent weeks.
Free stuff! Good stuff guys.
The Battlezones look awesome.
The Mantic stuff is always good I love this Company they are great at supporting small clubs n gaming groups. I’ll be ordering some scenery asap as its great for Infinity too!!
Do like the mantic terrain, very flexible.
Guys doing a great job. The possibility of winning the Fortified sector is so cool!
I would love to win! I just started Deadzone and bought Dreadball as well.
Nice competition, might finally attempt an idea I’ve had in my head for a while.
Great job with all the contests
JAZZ HANDS!!!!!!! must have terrain.
Great show, can’t wait to see what amazing thing Justin has noticed in regards to allies. 😛 I love the look of the sci-fi terrain; unfortunately I don’t have the room for it. That sci-fi fortified sector is awesome though!
Ork players will always create looted vehicles, no matter what the rules say. It’s what orks do! 😀
What’s the point of buying a Gork/Morkanaut vs. a Stompa? It’s only 10 dollars more for a Stompa and it seems like it can do so much more.
Have just finished painting my deadzone terrain. So easy to paint and weather. Looks great.
Please give me terrain
Let it be me!
I may not be a fan of Mantics minis but by God they can make some wonderful, affordable terrain. A great company for the hobbyist.
love the new intro thing 🙂
Great show 1
Would love to win the Mantic terrain.
Great show! Great figures! Great terrain! Great prize.
I might get a ‘Naut just to build… But before then, I have an Armored Company with a couple of supporting infantery platoons to finnish for my IG!
More terrain is never wrong, and free is even better!! For the win! 😉
Love the Mantic stuff… big fan
Those scenery kits look awesome. Looking forward to seeing a battle report with the US of Orc.
would never turn down an opportunity at free terrain
Mantic games is a emerging gigant in miniature wargaming, remind me Games workshop of old with new and great models, I really want to win this competition!
Give me back my looted vehicles !!!
Would love to have the set. You guys do wondeful work thanks
I am gunna miss looted tanks. I guess just will have to use em as other things like converted battlewagons or something.
Are there rules somewhere for the competition? How much non Mantic bits can you use how much can be standard hobby materials?….
Mega nob possible use as deadzone merc?
Great weekender!
gave a try to free 7 days and its nice but… I’m still in half way to decide – all content is great but its very difficult to search stuff, its not very well organized. like there is no buttons for hobby lab and other sections, how to find stuff?
Already responded to this mate on Page 2.
PM me if you have any specific issues and we’ll look into sorting them 🙂
Also you have tried the drop down navigation at the top of the page yes?
looks sick
such a nice prize!
beautiful terrain is beautiful ^^
Kromlech never fail to disappoint
Terrain please 🙂
Despite the coverage and your enthusiasm I still can’t get excited about 40k at the moment.
I’m suitable excited for the new Ork Codex, but I doubt I’ll buy to many of the new miniatures. That is of course assuming they don’t deliver us a new plastic Commando kit. But that doesn’t look likely.
cracking terrain will have to check it out
Always fun to watch the weekender. The terrain challenge is awesome, and those mini’s look amazing.
Is it just me or do the new Ork Flashgitz look very pirate’ish?
If you read the fluff they’ve left heir clans to join the Freebootaz. So yea, they are very piratey, on purpose.
If the rumors are true it will be a sad day to see the looted wagons go the way of the Dodo. But all of these Orcs has inspired me to create all of the different Orc factions
Comment…comment…comment…. Did I win yet? lol.
more terrain = good
Keep up the good work guys love this show. I wait for it every week.
That is some awesome looking terrain. I was on the Mantic site looking at their current preorder for a ton of terrain sprues and it looks to be an amazing deal.
It’s obvious that mantic Will be someday the new gw because all the creative minds are leaving the company one after the other. Isn ´t it strange?
@denbleiz80 – that’s my thinking as well. I think GW have sat perched up so high thinking that they are untouchable. unforunatly and I hate to say it the bigger you the hard you fall. now I don’t want gw the flop/fail I really enjoy playing 40k and fantasy have done for 10 years just some of the dissions are alittle bit strange.
As for the mantic box. Your camera does not do it justice. Its one huge box with 4kgs of plastic and when you open it your all excited and then it hits you…. where do I start. Can’t recommend this enough, watch then video of Warren and James the guys mentioned while you are clipping all pieces out really helps get the creative juices flowing. And also helps passing the time of clipping 🙂
@warzan – consider it challenge accepted – going to get my A into G and get my infinity table done where the quadrant will be the majority of it. along with a few other bits in pieces thrown in
I like the terrain.
I don’t really get what’s so amazing with the Battlezones terrain, you could do the same thing yourself with just some card and paint. Definitely not something that I would put money on, but that’s just me 🙂
I really like the newsletters, however whenever I click on a link it fails to open. I have to open the BOW website and hunt for the article. This is no biggie, I’m sure its early days teething troubles that will get sorted.
On the subject of Warhammer 40K 7th. Edition it was interesting to see Adolf Hitler’s reactions to the changes on YouTube, see link 🙂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fc36Is_6yZw
looked up “looted carnifex” on Google.
it has actually been done
Why would you bother with a Gorkanaut when you can buy a Stompa for almost the same price?
Very interesting take on the loss of looted vehicles issue – that they have been removed to limit what other companies can produce to ‘fill the void’ of an army list entry which does not have a dedicated GW model. I would have thought that the looted vehicle option would have encouraged an Ork player to buy models from another GW range.
The terrain is great, I’m thinking of making some rooms and corridors for ‘space hulk’
Again fantastic episode guys, I’m looking into the battlezone terrain myself for a 40k / mercs / deadzone table. Was really interested to hear what Ronnie had to say about the fixed style GW has fixed for 40k. Could we see some of your battlezone trial builds on the 40k hobby lab table as it develops?
The new Mantic scenery is great. I have boxes full already thanks to the Daedzone Kickstarter.
superb prize for a superb weekender yet again guys.
Apologies if this has been mentioned already but if you check out Anarchy models, they now have a Mantic aligned set of templates for airbrushing up the Mantic landing pad kit. Check out the video it’s pretty awesome. Just check out the Anarchy models channel on YouTube. If you liked the vids Brian did on BOW showing them off you’ll love this new set. Just like to say I am not affiliated in any way, but did back their Kickstarter and the templates are awesome.
also if Warren is interested in a more interior based terrain system, again BoW flagged the Battlesystems Kickstarter which I also backed and if you look at their per-printing interior stuff it looks awesome, and with Warren’s known challenges amd love of gettingnstuff in the table with minimum effort when it comes to painting stuff would have thought it would be right up his street.
“Imagine Skynet if it ewas run by ‘im”
“Oh God, would it even boot up in the morning”.
Best sound byte ever.
Gotta love the new Deadzone terrain.
We have the scenery from the Deadzone game. the extra scenery box set and the Sector Battlezone set that we picked up from Adepticon. It is some terrific stuff. I haven’t even gotten through it all. I did get a couple of ruined sprues in my Adepticon box and they look fantastic.
Loving the Battlezones stuff – they had an awesome display at Salute. Just waiting for my local FLGS to get some in and I can spend my pennies 🙂
I have a whack of the Deadzone terrain from the kickstarter, and as Warren says, it is just like messing with Lego. Looking forward to the battle damned stuff for sure.
Love the new Ork stuff. That sci fi terrain is amazing
love you and your work ^^
That’s some really nice generic sci-fi plastic terrain there, no denying it. It looks very customisable. I can see plenty of potential in it with a bit of modding: some Forge World brass to make it 40k; a stark white paint job for the interior of a Rebellion blockade runner… So many possibilities!
Such an affordable alternative to that expensive game company’s…
I really like the terrain. I was on the deadzone kickstarter and I am really looking forward to the second shipment whit more awesome terrain
Are the Mantic Battlezone terrain pieces of a good scale to work with Infinity? The aesthetic looks like it would be good for that game.
I need that terrain in my life!!! Great Weekender as ever guys. 😉
That is an awesome kit.
Now I need to find a way to work build and game while also sleeping
I would love to get my hands on the sector box of terrain. Really good value for the price IMO.
I agree very strongly with the sillohette thing, It’s something I’ve always put into my own sculpts too. If the overall sillohette does not appeal, then it’s not right to me. It’s also one of the reasons I do not find anything humanoid or legged appealing in wargames as I do like that shape at all. I find floating creatures far more elegant and appealing in that respect and yes I’m aware I am probably just weird 🙂
ruined batttlezones look awesome
Winner winner chicken dinner
Love the news letter idea.
Can’t wait to use it for my Saturday night game nights!
The battle zone terrain looks awesome. I hope the expand to include some different scales (FOW) and medieval for Fantasy based.
That’s a really big box of terrain you could win.
Win Mantic terrain stuff? Yes please!
Love the newsletters, great idea.
That Mantic stuff is awesome same with the Kromlech.
Does anyone not have a soft spot for Orks?
Good job with the news letters. I have enjoyed receiving them so far.
Enter me. Giggidy.
MMm… pretty.
I love watching these videos guys, but there is one thing that drives me nuts every single time. Can someone please reposition the rear legs of the hasbro AT-AT so it’s not in a backward “chicken walker” position. 😛
Great show as per usual fellas.
Well it’s winter here in Aus but I think I’m up for the battlezone challenge
Good luck on the Terrain competition.
Fingers crossed, for the win.
Has anyone looked into Fallen Frontiers, a new game on kickstarter ?
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/986826251/fallen-frontiers?ref=discovery
The miniatures look to be interesting, especially the Berserkers!!
Would love to get my hands on some Mantic terrain.
Always happy to get more terrain…
just lovely terrain
I want those WW orcs!
really want to build the interior of a building ala zone mortalis
Had no love for Orks ever, not really sure why but they do nothing for me. That said I’ve faced some wonderfully themed armies and I know a guy at our club who will be miffed if looted wagons go…..his whole army was based around the looted theme.
so gonna get some mantic terrain for necromunda games. Awesome stuff.
Fantastic idea that will motivate people and build the hobby. Kudos to you.
I also need some more Necromunda terrain… the Heartbreakers and Blood Diamonds are tired of fighting on the same old cardstock and plastic.
the battlezone terrain is fantastic stuff, I’ve mucked with it a bit so far but I still haven’t settled on any particular structure(s) let alone a paint scheme!
My 132nd Arcadian rifles need a new cityscape to hunt the foul xenos in after flattening the last one they defended.
Love the Ork Heads, my Girlfriend will want some of those!!!
Great episode guys.
I totally agree that the GW kits are getting more and more toy-like. Although Dark Vengeance has very cool looking miniatures, almost everything that came afterwards is not to my taste anymore. It really seems that FW is more for the “grown-ups” now. And also the setting of 30k appears more of a futuristic Warhammer than 40k.
Yay! give me more sprues!
Hi guys….another entertaining video….loving the Deadzone game….loving the Deadzone scenery…..pick me…pick me!
Loving the Weekenders. Look forward to them all week long.
Yay Battlezone!
Apparently you have to be in it to win it.
So I am.
Until now I thought the battlezone terrain to be too generic. Meaning that everything looks different but still the same. Those new ruined parts could make the difference for me.
I agree that they look a bit generic but in my book it means I can use them in different systems without problem.
The ruined sections add a nice touch as you can mix and match the new and ruined sets for some nice combinations.
You can never have too much terrain.
Built a city for 40k some years ago, don’t use it much now
The Orc with the Goblin is perfect for Freebooter. You can use it for the Orc faction or as mercanery
Terrain building is something that I find myself enjoying more and more. Nothing captures the attention of newer players than playing your favorite game on a kick-a** fully fleshed tabletop. It really adds a lot to the experience.
Makes me want to go and build my mordhiem idea
Mantic Battlezones is amazing! I really wanna see this line expanded to historical and fantasy terrains!
count me in
With regard to the Battlezone competition – does the terrain have to be made entirely out of bits from the sprues or can you include any other bits and pieces and scratch build parts? Are you going to suggest %Mantic or can it just be Mantic based and let the imagination rip!
Got a juicy idea I’d like to try but a lot of it I would have to make myself.
Please can you let me know before I place my order. Thanks
Guys, tanks for the TML5 vid tip. Was unwatchable again until I switched to this player, then ran as smooth as silk. Thank you. And Warren, thanks for agreeing with Justin that he is basically disagreeable 🙂
I generally don’t post comments, but between the mantic terrain and the chance to win some Wolsung, I just can’t help myself.
my friend’s at the gaming club would go bananas if they won!!!
Shiny bits need walls too!
I must say, after backing Mars Attacks, I should have taken Deadzone terrain, too. Instead of taking so much MA minis.
Waaaaaaaagh!
I really need this terrain!
That’s a neat set of terrain!
I do have to say that for anyone who hasn’t done their research into this terrain it is absolutely amazing I always wondered why we didn’t have a terrain set that fit together like Legos and then I found these mantic sets thanks to beasts of war and well gives me alil bit of hope
Where can I buy that Orc from? He’s going to a staple of all my Orc armies (whfb, 40k, anything!!!)
Lets get started!
And who couldn’t use some more awesome terrain?
Mantic’s approach to tabletop terrain is just awesome! Working like Lego, which i loved as child, it really appeals to me.
Want terrain…need more terrain…
You can never get too much terrain 😀
Anyone try the big box of Mantic terrain with Infinity?
That terrain is awesome Lego.
i love terrain so much it brings out the naritive like nothing else
